I would just like them to explain the decisions, for example there was a potential handball today in the box, in the Leeds everton game. Exactly the type that was given a few weeks ago. So fans are confused what's different?

Why not just make a quick statement after the game. ie "After discussions within the game, a decision was taken too relax the handball rules slightly as it was generally felt that defenders were being punished for unavoidable incidents, clubs were notified earlier this week. In this case the VAR team decided that the player was too close to the ball when kicked to take avoiding action"

At the moment every decision is defended by the authorities good or bad. If the decisions are explained then it is clearer for all to see if they are correct and consistent.

A nice comeback there after some shambolic defending. And no VAR penalty awards. They need to sort their act out at Stockley Park 😂

Cavani looked class! Two goals and an assist. That’ll do.

This one should be a tad lively affair

Refreshing to see a game with no pens, especially involving Man U! Great comeback win.

Maureen has reverted to type in this second half. Christ, this is dull

Wondering why Arteta seems immune to the flak Ole and others get? Arsenal are dire!

He manages a London team thereby winning the backing of plenty of the London based media hacks.
He like Frank was considered the thinking fan's player whereas Ole was some uncouth nordic raider. He's also from Pep's school of management.
United in crisis sells more papers than Arsenal in crisis. Saying Arteta and Lampard are developing an urbane philosophy helps put pressure on Ole even though it's nonsense.

Looking forward to the outcry from Man United fans over Cavani using the exact same word that Suarez for banned for. I'm sure the roar will be deafening.

And the Leeds' keeper was banned for using the same word too (Casilla).

I doubt even uniteds current disaster prone management could even come close to Liverpools mishandling of that situation. I am surprised any Liverpool fans would want to draw attention to that shameful episode, unless you are still claiming Suarez was the victim?

He wasn't the victim but it really wasn't as simple as it was made out to be. The word is not considered offensive in Latin America.

https://www.goal.com/en/news/1717/editorial/2011/12/22/2813532/liverpools-luis-suarez-should-have-known-better-but-his

Should have just admitted the error and apologised though.

Ole's getting some T-shirts printed for the boys to wear on Wednesday night

Then Tony Marshall's going to have a chomp on Neymar 😀

Looks like I was correct.

It's almost as if the outcry over Suarez was really all about football club tribalism rather than a genuine stand against racism - surely not.

It was all about Suarez being a racist, cannibal bell end.

For context: Suarez was on the pitch and directed a racist insult at an opponent in an aggressive manner. Like a sort of Uruguayan John Terry. Evra was probably just grateful he didn't try to eat him.

With Cavani the context is completely different. He wasn't on the pitch, was talking to one of his mates on social media, and it was meant affectionately.

But we all know that Liverpool are definitely unfairly targeted and persecuted and its just, like, SOOOOOO not fair!

It would be nice if we could all try and view the incident in context and not use it as an excuse to have a go at another club. Which you’re all doing.

It amazes me that footballers still banter with their mates on twitter, they should get a 3 game ban just for stupidity on that alone. It will be an automatic 3 game ban anyway, which is about right, and if any malice can be shown should be much longer.

You will have to blame grum for that, after all his initial post on the matter was to attack united fans and compare the incidents, while pretending to take the moral high ground.

Do you have a view on the incident since you are so keen to focus discussion on it, yet have forgotten to actually do so? Or are you also just pretending to take the moral high ground in order to have a go at another club?

Back to the 'handball' stuff. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry watching Eric Dier trying to block and/or tackle with his hands behind his back yesterday

If he can carry on with a rate of two goals and an assist, all of which were pure class, when coming on as a second-half sub then he can do whatever the **** he likes as far as I'm concerned 😀

Spurs have spent the past few seasons in Europe, so they should be used to it by now. Eric Dier is built for clog dancing not ballet, there is nothing he could do where he wouldn't look clumsy.

Not good Ole, Fred should have been taken off at halftime.

One defeat and he’s back to being useless! Not much he can do about the awful finishing I guess aside from leave Martial out. They’re gonna get beat by Leipzig and end up in the Europa League I think.

Ref had a bit of a shocker, I liked Fred waiting at the side of the pitch for the VAR review that never happened.

Really? I thought he was pretty tolerant and let the game flow. Even Paul Scholes remarked about the tackling and as for the headbut, Yosser Hughes would have been proud of that.

Spurs are top of the table through playing the absolutely dire, virtually unwatchable form of anti-football so beloved of Maureen

It’s telling that Kane had more touches in his own box than in Arsenals

Christ knows we had to endure his absolutely dreadful, bus-parking tedium for long enough.

Arsenal were awful and look like a team who deserve to be in 15th

Also, it’s good to see Millwall fans covering themselves in glory again yesterday. Racist ****s!

ha. Spurs aren't playing anti-football at all. Sure Mou played tactically against Chelsea, but it has been a riot of goals and incredible attacking football. Have you actually been watching them at all?

I had the misfortune of watching you batter us, but that was awful tonight. Chelski last weekend was even worse. It had nil nil written all over it from the first minute. It’s unwatchable.

Arsenal had 78% possession in the second half. Not that it got them anywhere

I’d call it pragmatic binners - you’re 2-0 up against the team you despise the most, the seasons going to be even more congested than normal, why not dig in for a half and hit them on the break?

It wasn't pretty, but it was pretty effective! I think I'm starting to like Jose now!

AFTV is my favourite comedy at the moment 🤣

Hard to tell - had my fill of that London 10 years ago. But I reckon its Askew Road

That bus is actually at the terminus at Acton Green. Adrian Chiles lives within sight of it.

End of useless information.

I broke my Spurs (read Mourinho) boycott yday .

Blooming wish I hadn't, what a borefest !!

I take absolutely no joy in being in the hunt if that is the "football" we play..... dreadful.

Son's goal the only real piece of entertainment.

Guess if could be worse, could be a Millwall fan.... Shocker !!
