Yeah Jota is flying and the young lad at the back is playing well, admittedly against not the best attacks. However City could be a different game at the weekend of course.

I'm still struggling with football though at the moment, be it the CV19 situation in the world, or maybe just the lack of crowds, but i'm finding it more being the VAR i think that's taking away of lot of the spirit of things, the excitement of celebrating a goal.. I'm finding football challenging, when for most of my life it's been a clear passion for me

I'm kind of the same weeksy but I quite like having something to focus on that essentially doesn't really matter that much. The world is a fairly depressing place right now. One thing I've found is that I now prefer watching without the fake crowd noise. At first I couldn't cope without it but now it seems too discordant and weird to have it on.

The VAR thing is ridiculous though. Jota barely celebrated his goals last night and I wonder if it's because of the one that got chalked off the other night. You can never be sure a goal means anything now until a few minutes later.

Exaggerated? He might as well have gone all out and put his Speedo’s on

A Man U fan complaining about penalties awarded to other teams is like Hitler complaining about Allied war crimes. 🙂

You should try being a United fan 🙁

well yeah, it helps that Liverpool are still doing well, i think i'd have thrown the towel in if performances were as bad as yours are apparently.

I thought VAR would be good as there wouldn't be any feeling aggrieved after a game due to poor decisions but actually it's taken the fun away, I don't celebrate a goal any more as you always have that feeling that it might be chalked off. I still think VAR can work (like in rugby) but needs work.

On another note, my Sunday leave has obviously been postponed but word from the local FA suggests the current league won't be able to continue even though it could only be four missed games. Last season was cancelled completely even though it was only a couple of games from completion. Seems to me that four weeks could be easily caught up, seems a strange decision that won't keep grassroots football alive.

Classic Solskjaer. Thrash the champs then lose to a minnow.

The defending for Djemba Ba’s goal. 🙀

Even worse than Atlanta’s for Salah’s goal last night.

I reckon a poor performance and result v Everton on Saturday will get Ole the sack.....pundits and the media will do for him during the international break. Someone please employ Poch ASAP!

Salahs goal was class. How many times have we seen that from Liverpool from an attack or set piece in their own half - certainly the one v Man Utd last season 🤗. He’s so fast with the ball he gets it on to his left foot inside the defender before the defenders can react. it’s only poor defending if they tried to cover it and failed - so leaving 4 men back.

It was a great finish but poor defending. Like the goal v United he was all on his own in his own half, no defenders near him. The defender gets back, that’s the difference, Matic trying to catch Ba was like watching a slug on tarmac, but when he gets back he carefully ushers Salah inside onto the only foot he can kick the ball with. Naive!

I did think it was predictable what Salah would do but he does it so well. He has scored quite a few with his right foot though so maybe the defender wasn't 100% sure.

After the absolute shambles midweek, and the abject performances against Chelski and the Arse, I’m not sure if I actually want to watch this.

Ole’s last game if we lose, if the rumours are to be believed. Not that sacking the manager will make a blind bit of difference any more than the last 3 times they did it.

Not while the club has those parasites owning it and that clown Woodward calling all the shots. Just more clutching at straws

To get away from sulking Trump I just watched MOTD and cannot believe how Leeds and Everton have gone down the plug hole.

I can. They weren’t as good as everyone said they were a few weeks back and they aren’t as bad as the stick they’ll get now. This season it seems teams and results are more inconsistent.

@binners - good result for you.

Even better for the rest of us as OGS gets a stay of execution to prolong the comedy

Of his first 100 games he’s won more than Klopp did. If someone tells Ed that he’ll give him a 20 year contract tomorrow.

Seriously though. How can Bamford's goal be offside. Mad.

Klopp's solution for whether to drop Firmino for Jota - play both! I like.

Liverpool are playing 4-2-4 with Salah, Mane, Firmino, Jota - pretty scary line-up. Sort of a soft pen they just got but they've been pretty dominant so far.

It's weird how apart from De Bruyne City now seem pretty average going forward. Sterling is obviously good and has moments of brilliance but they just seem to have been drifting for a long time.

Seriously though. How can Bamford’s goal be offside. Mad.

When they start adding the little dots down from the bit of the arm to decide on a goal no-one was complaining about it's time to step back and reflect on what the hell we are doing.

Oh FFS that's a ridiculous pen against Gomez. How are you actually supposed to run as a defender in the box without using your arms?

De Bruyne misses though! Crivens.

The number of penalties in football is really spoiling it though, it's turning into a shit game of rugby.

Pretty much the last person you would expect to miss. Not even that close either.

41st penalty of the 80th game of the season. Hideous, defenders are going to end up playing in straight jackets.

Ole will get to see the season out unless it goes horribly wrong. There's very little pressure on him from the fans. Only really the media trying to stir things up for stories.
We are generally excellent against the top teams under Ole and always setup excellently.
Still struggling to break teams down when they defend in numbers though. When Fernandes is playing his best it helps a lot with this so hopefully that picks up again.

Better without Pogba too... No surprise there.

Probs a fair result in the end. Liverpool better first half and the opposite in the second. Looked pretty hard to play decent football in those conditions.

Great save but a bit of a tragic moment afterwards, where Marshall looks to the referee for a few seconds trying to work out if he was going to get done for coming off his line, before he could finally start celebrating.

Fair play to Scotland eh. Don't usually give a hoot, but even I got a wee bit excited last night! 😆 3 great fixtures next year.

What were they subs all about though, playing well, dominating the game, defending from the front, I know what I'll do, this is too easy and not the Scotland way! Front 3 aff, lets put these diddies on! 😆

To be fair I think Dykes and Christie were knackered. Some shift Dykes put in, pretty old fashioned centre forward play but he won everything in the air and never gave their centre halves a yard. The guy at the back, Gallagher, was immense. Not really seen him play before.
