I do wonder about the Ole Out lot. It looks like it's all media-driven to me. All the actual fans you speak to will tell you they're happy enough with the way things are going. We're playing some great attacking football and getting results. We're still a way off being title contenders but we're improving all the time. I had a look at the odds yesterday and we're 8/1 with Liverpool and City both at 2.5/1.

Bruno has been unbelievable for us. The impact he's had on the whole squad has been immense. Cantona-esque. Everyone has upped their game since he arrived.

What's going on at Fulham? Another game canceled today. Maureen was implying the other day that their Covid-testing wasn't up to scratch. Given what the Spurs players have been up to, that a bit rich

Tottenham says they are 'extremely disappointed' after three players attend party

A bright bunch of lads. They posted the pictures up on Instagram. I bet Maureen is ****ing fuming!

Spurs v Leeds is going to be interesting. Truly Attack v defense

There were quite a few United fans questioning if Ole could take them any further only a few weeks ago - I only read the guardian comments section obvs but I bet there were more frothy options available too.

I think he/they are doing well but I also don't see them being consistent for the whole season. At some point the penalties will dry up then they'll be screwed. 😉

True, but then nobody else is being consistent either. That's why it's all so wide open at the moment. It's making for a great season. There's been a good few 'WTF?!!!' results

There has but it seems likely that Liverpool and Man City will be up at the top come the end of the season like they have been the last few seasons - I may be wrong.

I'd actually rather Ole's penaltyball won the title than Mourinho's anti-football though, bleurgh.

Big result in Glasgow at lunchtime, a bit of luck sometimes is all the difference. 🤞🏻

Good goalkeeping isn’t luck No Beer! Great result considering Rangers didn’t play well. One back for the cup final 😉

My gran was a Celtic supporter so I sort of am but I have to say I don't really like the idea of them winning 10 titles in a row, it just seems wrong/unhealthy for a league - so I don't mind the result.

It's a bit mental how far ahead Rangers are now though.

Eze's goal just now for Palace. Wow. I don't think the defenders cover themselves in glory, and the dressing room looks like it'll be quite lively based on Chris Wilder's face, but still wow.

Very true sir, although to be fair I don't think Celtic can feel as robbed as we did after that final!.

My gran was a Celtic fan too grum, she was a good friend of the legendary Danny McGrain. I never held it against her though. 😁

How on earth did West Brom get a point at Anfield? They’re terrible! Big Sam will keep his ‘never been relegated status’ as he’ll be gone before the season is done.

They’re a mid-table championship side, soon destined to resume their natural position in the world.

Just watching MOTD and WTF is going on with the toe-curlingly embarrassing blast of dreadful cheesy music when Spurs score? How long has that nonsense been going on? Do they think they’re playing ice hockey?

That shit needs to stop! It’s ****ing cringeworthy! Especially in an empty stadium.

Bilic's last game in charge against city, WBA played pretty well, made their position in the league look a bit false. They certainly didn't look like relegation fodder if they could have built on that they would have probably been ok, I think it was a mistake to sack Bilic then and bring in big Sam.

Sadly 'goal music' has been a feature of most sports stadiums for several years at least binners - do they not do it at OT, or have you never been? 😛

They even do it in cricket for boundaries (not tests, yet...) 🙁

Not sure there’s a need with no fans in the stadiums! Same goes for the PA announcers before the game.

It's thoroughly depressing being a Blades fan at the moment. No one knows what has happened.

I think the crux of it is that we have a fairly decent Championship squad that over achieved last seson. However, the players that did over perform, now seem a shadow of what we saw last season.

We don't know if Wilder has lost the dressing room. His fairly big money signings haven't worked, but they were all his second choice - we wouldn't pay the fees/wages for his primary targets.

The chairman has publicly stated that Wilder won't be sacked even if/when we are relegated - and most fans don't seem to want him gone. He looks deflated and was seen saying 'I can't do this b***ocks any more' after yesterdays game - he may walk. However, some of his decisions are strange, he says the system isn't at fault, but he never tries a different system. Overlapping CB's stopped working when we lost Jack O'Connell.

We rely heavily on fans being the 12th man - the form dropped exactly when Covid started last season. I'm not sure we'll even compete in the Championship next season if this carries on. We haven't got one single player who could do what Eze did. At least we could defend last season, even if we didn't score many - we can't even do that any more

Blades fan here as well. Wilder has taken them as far as he can. He has no plan B, is out of his depth and a squad devoid of confidence.

I believe though that following a first win, points will follow. They will still be relegated, but will finish above west brom.

Am I bothered, not really. I have never felt so alienated as a fan as I do in the Premier league. I enjoy the championship and the variety and excitement it brings.

A feature of most sports stadiums? What other premiership clubs have 'goal music'? They certainly don't have it at OT. It just seems a bit tragic. It sounded terrible at Spurs yesterday. Who on earth chooses the music? It's another dreadful Americanism!

As for going to OT... it's my fault that there are no crowds back in the grounds. I did a big freelance design job last year, just before lockdown, and instead of invoicing them, I negotiated the use of their two OT season tickets for this season for me and Binnerete number one, instead. So Covid is basically all my fault.

as a Reading fan I'm (somewhat irrationally) not a Blades fan from the rivalry days back when Warnock was in charge, the Wally Downes incident, Gillespie, etc. I ought to let it go really!!

But I can't disagree with what you say about the situation there. The Eze goal, I don't know how he ran away from the midfielder (unless he was injured) and the attempted tackle was dismal. I expect the whole tea set got thrown at half time - do they still do that or will it have been pouches of isotonic juice and energy gels. Almost like the team has given up. Who've you got in the FA Cup, a win in that (any win) just to break the run has to be priority even above resting players.

@teenrat - I said the same the second season we were in the PL, after the excitement of seeing the stars at your club, the novelty of getting spanked every week wears off. I think (Leicester exceptions or massive money aside) there's only a handful of teams that enjoy the games , the rest it's about survival and to be in the Champs where you at least see a decent game is a way better prospect.

Chelski are actually looking worse here against City reserves than they looked against Arsenal last week

They’re all over the shop

Roman will be getting twitchy. Not one for sentiment is he. Actually think they bought too many players and Frank has an issue giving them all enough game time and hasn’t figured out his best side. Frank probably didn’t want half of them anyway.

I looked it up and apparently they've just started allowing it this season in the PL - they've been doing it in rugby league and cricket for a while. Technically in the PL players are now allowed to select individual tracks as their goal music so they could have a planned dance move/celebration synchronised to it! :-/

Well, every day’s a school day.

No good can ever come of this. It’s just this kind of thing that makes me want to join ISIS and dedicate my life to ending western civilisation.

But in the meantime I’ll just hate Spurs for this inexcusable nonsense. I’ve just looked it up and this crap is apparently Harry Kane’s choice. That boy needs to take a long hard look at himself

Yup it's a travesty - 'THIS. IS. EXCITING. RIGHT. NOW. - EXCITING LIKE A SHIT EURO DANCE SONG PLAYED AT EAR SPLITTING VOLUME ON TINNY SPEAKERS'

I found a playlist and the only vaguely acceptable one is paranoid by Black Sabbath for Aston Villa. 🙂

If you were trying to put together the worst playlist in the world then the people you’d ask, before commercial radio DJ’s, Politicians and estate agents, top of the list would surely be premiership footballers. As Harry Kane has just so spectacularly demonstrated

I wonder who’s bright idea that was?

@ the Blades fans as a long term Man City fan I can totally relate to how you are feeling. Before the take-over my favourite seasons were always the promotion ones under Mel Machin, Joe Roye and Kevin Keegan.

Getting beat every week in just depressing but at least your manager has been good in the past - enduring Alan Ball's "football" was excruciating!

The break from the league grind to play Bristol Rovers in the cup might be just what your team needs.

We are only one step away from those shitty sports where the teams are named after a place and some really ****ing ferocious animal or such like.
The London Hammers, The London Eagles, The London lions, the Brighton shite hawks, the Manchester devils. It makes you want to puke.

That will never happen - place names will be expunged so that franchises can be moved to wherever bids highest.

Great finish by Ings.

I do love Mrs Binners take on the Liverpool away strip. She walked in, took one look at it and said “What’s with the Disney Princess Kit?”

Ings is a great player and v popular with all his ex team mates it seems. I'm not sure if he wasn't trying to cross it though.

The kit is awful innit. I maintain footballers play worse in shit kits - surely someone has done an analysis.

BTW if Pogba's was a pen then Mane's was just now.

Totally agree with you. I thought that was a definite pen. Couldn’t believe VAR didn’t even look at it.

And Ings, like any striker, is always going to claim that’s what he absolutely definitely meant to do 😂

Based on the latest round of games Man City will win the league easily.....maybe....!

Liverpool are off it at the moment eh? Strange given the beating they gave Palace, Wolves and Leicester. The lack of shots on target over the past three games must be concerning.

This can be conclusively proven with a sample set of 1:
Sheffield United and their bleeding awful not-quite-proper-pink away kit. It's so bad that it has residual effects even when they play in the standard red & white.

Thoroughly enjoyed that.

Pogba really is a bang average player though. The France team carried him to a world cup winners medal, and he has less quality moments is a season for united than the likes of De Bruyne or Fernandes have in half a game.

Problem with Pogba is he really isn’t average when he tries but he’s lazy and unmotivated but willing to collect his fortune each week.
Could learn a lot about passion and effort from Maradona and Colin Bell.

thats not fair. He’s absolutely brilliant in the three games a season he bothers to turn up for.

Like most United fans I’d happily drive him to Manchester airport and put him on a plane to whoever his bell end of an agent thinks what’s him

Remember when Veron was the benchmark for overpriced Man Yoo players who completely failed to deliver? veron looks like Pele compared to that donkey!

Great match tonight though, after the bore-fest of the last Derby. I did enjoy Luke Shaws proper shoulder-barge on Cancelo. I’m liking him more and more every game

Came on here to say well done to Sheffield United for their win in the cup - hope that it can be a turning point as per my previous post. Their next game is home against Newcastle looks winnable - would be amazed if they escaped the drop but could maybe avoid setting any more undesirable records.

Re. Binners post above on "Fatty" Shaw, if such shithouse behaviour is all that a United player has to do to impress you that is pretty sad.

Well let me say I didn’t see that coming. Not at all, no sir. Leeds United in an away FA Cup tie to lower league opposition. Home win guaranteed 🙄

Oh well, back to the real business, surviving in the Premier league. Statistically already over half way there with less than half the season played. MOT

Re. Binners post above on “Fatty” Shaw, if such shithouse behaviour is all that a United player has to do to impress you that is pretty sad.

Yeah, because most footy fans think to themselves “I wish our players wouldn’t get so physical in derby games” 🙄

It was a proper ‘take one for the team’ challenge, and if you don’t give a nod of approval when one of your own players does it then you’re either a liar or an idiot. ‘Fatty’ is having a great season. Great to see him properly back to full fitness.

Did Man U get a penalty for it?

We got 3. We’re contractually obliged to get them every game. We’re banking the other 2 until we need them later in the season

A good weekends footy. Crawly putting Leeds out being the highlight

Hats off to the Spurs fans for buying 20,000 virtual tickets for Marine

A bit of class, that
