Got an interview for a job in Harlow. Travelling from Cardiff by train I'd have to get from Paddington to Liverpool St, it looks like. National Rail says it'll take 55mins via tube. What'd it be like to cycle?

Its a nice ride. I usually head along through cavendish square, mortimer st, faringdon street down to chancery lane, smithfield and into the city. Depending on traffic and urgency you can go flat out in about 15-20 minutes or pootle it in about 25 mins.

Sounds like bike is a much better bet then.

Any chance you can upload your exact route somehow? Wondering if there are any quieter streets than the main ones?

That looks great, thanks. I like the idea of having my bike with me. Now all I need is a bike that'll be good for commuting and luggage carrying but will also be fun to train on...
