Can you settle an argument please? Drove past a pub in Clifton on the road between Deddington and Aynho today. The pub which is now closed and I think used to be called the Duke of Cumberland. I believe it used to have a sign that said "Filthy ale and disgusting food". My daughter said it was another down the road by the canal. There's £10 riding on this so can anyone tell us which one it was?

you're mostly right, it was the Duke of Cumberland's Head, but correct about the sign...
what will spend your winnings on? 😆

Whoop whoop!!!! Thanks nickc. The joy of victory is so sweet. A wild excess of Hook Norton I think although there is mounting pressure to sponsor someone on a walk for a local hospice.
