The problem with this time of year is that the house is full of yummy things of all sorts. What do you do - go mad and deal with the consequences the rest of the year or remember the tiny progress over the last 6 months and hold back a bit?

The dauphinoise leftovers are calling me to the dark side

Edit: Apologies for wrong forum 🙁 - I blame the Ventoux

I work on the principle that the body can only digest the first 5000 calories in a 24 hour period. 😀

Just go for it. Don't think about it.
All all just fuel for winter rides

It's just pre-loading ahead of a big ride after Christmas.

Once I stood in a burger van queue at a sports event. Standing in front of me then ordering a hotdog with all the trimmings was Christine Ohurugu.

If you check out Jessica Ennis Instagram, she's not holding back on Christmas dinner.

You need to enjoy yourself once in a while, otherwise it all becomes a very boring tiresome effort.

Sorry, are we not meant to have started yet?

I've been on a rampage all month.

Not sure where I left my bike.

A bicycle is a conveyance to get you to the pub in December.

I may need a 39er to get going later this month........

I cycled 90 miles last week in preparation. Double my usual weekly mileage.

I've been building up for weeks. Feel properly fat now, and I know it's not even Christmas yet. Fully expecting to stand on the scales one day and find myself half a stone heavier.

You can get rid of it quick though, right?

Problem being Winter is yet to arrive.
I don't need fuel to ride in current conditions, I need flippers.

Yep, you just have to download the MFP app for your phone and that's it gone, easy

Oddly I don't feel the need to go mental. But I probably overeat a little all the time. It doesn't seem to stick much either.

Too late.

Went to bed at 2.30, feel like crap this morning.

Mrs G is doing some breakfast, to soak up last nights booze.

We walk the dogs and I will cook a huge meal and eat about 5 and start on the piss again.

I feel a dry January coming on.
