I ask this every couple of years in case anything changes...
This Thursday and Friday night out in Brum, nice pubs, but of music, thinking Indie disco, nothing pretentious, and away from Broad St.
So far the usual is the Victoria although last time (last year) it was so loud, and the sound system was shit, and there was no normal beer.
Brew Dog alright but again no normal session beer.
I quite liked the post office but it was rammed too bright and smelt of piss.
Went in the Actress and Bishop which was fun. The Alchemist was rubbish, obvs.
Any where else you don’t have to sell a kidney that has a nice vibe, with people having fun?

Pint Shop is good for beer and food.
Pure Bar and Theatrix close by also good.
On the jewellery quarter, The Lord Clifton is great fun as is The Rose Villa Tavern. Or 1000 Trades for great beer and food.

Tilt
Rock n Roll Brewery (In Jewellry quarter - tiny but brilliant)
Kongs (retro arcade machines)
Ghetto Golf (book in advance)
Original Patty Men for nourishment.
Bacchus (basement of Burlington Hotel)
Pint Shop
Wellington (next door to pint shop)
Old Joint Stock (out the back door of Wellington and across the alley)!
And of course the German market is on at the moment.

Some other places worth considering which are 5-10 mins walk from New St and in the same area.
The Wolf
Indian Brewery (great food!)
Old Contemptibles
