A big ask but hoping someone maybe nearby and willing to collect a (un-used-brand new) petrol tank for us! Bit strange I know but if one doesn't ask we won't know. We have over the years helped out two people in a I liar way, one with a bike from here and the other with a beetle part so it does happen.
We need a new petrol tank for our old mk2 Polo which is undoing a restoration programme at the moment. We can get a cheap copy from GSF but these sometimes need bending to fit and don't last too long. We have been offered an original vw new one but it has to be picked up. It's in Salford, Cobden Street, M6 6WG, we are in Devon.
I realise its a major favour but someone may be very close to it and able/willing to pick it up, we will then organise a courier to pick it up.

My friend, it is your lucky day. I can collect Christmas eve and deliver to you Christmas day.
However, some more refined directions that "we are in Devon" will be required. I'm driving from Leeds Christmas morning, heading to EX8, but can collect from Salford the day before.
