you used to be able to do the same thing, but it was a month and it was about £20...
What was the purpose of copying and pasting the advert?
Do you work for Sky?
or you could go and ride your bike
doesnt seem like very good value to me .....
coupled with the rallying being on eurosport 😉
i dont work for sky, sorry, it was just to inform the press release, no advertisement or anything subversive, i didnt have the link to hand.
i simply wanted opinion on what sky was offering,
personally i think its far too much, but from there POV for a 1 off event that people may want to see, they have cleverly covered there bases.
i am thinking specifically of F1 at the end of the season when bbc are not showing live coverage, or perhaps footy etc.
I understand that if you look around on the internet, you can find sites where sports may be viewed for free. The sites in question - and I'm not naming any - carry disclaimers that should anyone *choose* to share content on them, they are legally able to do so having obtained all the correct permissions, so anyone watching the shared channels is doing so entirely legally. That's how I get to watch the Super league each weekend, as there's no way I'm paying Sky TV's fees
Seems a complete rip as it would work out at nearly £4k for the year!
Seems a complete rip off.
I agree. But then that's Sky and their monopoly for you. Competition? Virgin? Ok, a monopoly of 2. Still no choice if you want to watch sport
I don't understand the problem, if you want to watch sport it is expensive.
£9.99 for 24hours is really cheap compared to real cost of watching sport.
This is a bit of non discussion really. Its a bit like saying water is wet, and then saying when jumping in the sea, that you got wet. If you want to watch sport, you have to pay. If 9.99 was more expensive than the event you are watching was to watch live, then you might have a point, but as it is 9.99 is remarkably good value to be able to watch any sport in the comfort of your home.
I don't have a TV so I couldn't give a f*** what it costs, to be honest!
Still seems very expensive compared to the License fee etc.
free sky is the way forward....... 😉
actually take what steve_austin said a bit further, imagine going to see the FA cup final with 5 of your mates and the cost involved in not only tickets but travel and perhaps accommodation, compared to "all round at mine" and streaming it for a tenner...........
of course that doesnt take into account the purchase of the laptop, broadband and cables to the tv, and of course, the tv,
but then again, it also doesnt include the cost of clothes and shoes to wear to the game if you went for seeing it in the flesh...unless of course you didnt buy clothes and shoes, but then in that scenario you would have to include the cost of bail from being arrested for lewd conduct.
