[Closed] online shopping - faulty product, can retailer insist I return to shop only?

Bought a baby monitor for alp_babyboy in July online at Mothercare; been using it more regularly over the last 2 weeks and the "parent unit" of it promptly died (BT 250 for anyone interested, DO NOT BUY IT).

Mothercare insist that we can only return it to one of their stores, as they only allow returns/exchanges via post for 28 days after purchase.

Despite some googling I'm not sure whether this part of their Ts&Cs is legit or whether they should accept the return via post?

We live 4hrs round trip from the nearest Mothercare, otherwise it'd be no problem to go there.

Any help appreciated...
