Id never heard of this alleged half-the-price Galaxy S5 killer phone until just now, and it appears the only way to get one is by an invite from someone who has the phone already - has anyone out there in STW-land got the phone and have an invite they can send me?

Register on their forums and wait (forever) like everyone else.
Personally I think they've dragged it on too long now. It does look a great phone but what good is a great phone you can't buy? There are other options at that kind of price point. Opps N1 or Xiomi Mi3 par example.
