Hello all,
I’ve opened a sandwich shop and wanted it to be bike themed so far it’s going very roadie which is cool but I wanted some Mtb things too..does anyone have anything interesting laying around they want shot of? Any retro things? It’s going on a wall or the ceiling so can’t be a dh bike😂

Have a chat with local bike shops and see if they have stuff they were going to throw away. Old chainrings, brake disks, perhaps wheels or tyres, you even get lucky with a broken frame.

they may also have some old trade merchandising, posters, etc. lying around. Worth asking I'd suggest.

Good luck I have met my mate and ridden to cramond from the centre, next venture will be towards you. We have bromptons so look out for us.

I would go retro and put a Raleigh chopper on the wall, get people talking. The reviews of the cafe in cramond are interesting as they banned mobiles, and enforce the ban.

Good luck in the venture, I make biscuits with broken digestive, melted chocolate, nuts and seeds. Cool and slice, costs nothing.

Ha yes I’ve got a chopper coming...a nice flying Scot and I’ve got quite a few tops etc..ha I won’t ban mobiles or anything! I’m purely takeaway anyhow but get a lot of passing cyclists every day as I’m on the main route to the forth bridge..aye pop in for a blether anytime

I cycle through to South Queensferry quite often, but none of the current cafes ‘float my boat’. It will be good to have somewhere new to try. Pootler, not roadie though - I think there’s a fair few cyclists who pootle out from Edinburgh through the Dalmeny Estate.

Yes it’s a busy well trod route...I’m not a cafe as I’ve not got the room but there’s benches close with a view of the bridges..
