And now, a brief interlude to show a few little music venues in that London. Mancs please feel free to post up yer own equivalents.

Oh, and have any of you ever bin down to London to gigs? Yes you have, jolly well have not you?

How many Londoners would bother trekking all the way up there, when we're spoilt for choice down here?

Currently, the MEN arena is the the largest indoor arena in Europe and the United Kingdom with a capacity of 21,000, ahead of the 20,000 O2 Arena in London.

all elfin's pics prove is that london is the over priviledged metropole that gets everything but produces little.

it just holds a light up to how great the rest of us are without having the wealth of the empire thrown at us.

yeah in london ???? the city in england with the least amount of football heritage.

Do not despair, . . the greatest band in the world "The Wedding Present" were formed in Leeds, . . although lead David Lewis Gedge was brought up in Manchester and supports MUFC, so you can't have everything! 😀

Leeds has the Sisters of Mercy, Soft Cell and the Kaiser Chiefs in its favour, too.

TBH I've not even really got going yet love. 😉 Plenty more ammo. The Mancs seem to have run out though...

What, bigger than Donington, or Glastonbury?

Which aren't permanent... 😉 Outdoor music/cultural event? Notting Hill Carnival = second biggest street carnival in the entire World. 8)

Blah blah blah. Have you ever bin to London mate (Of course you have, because you know how fantastic it is)? Do you know it as well as I do? No, so please, just be quiet.

So, where's the pics of all these fantastic Mancunian music venues then?

Seconded, but then Pulp kick the bobbins out of pretty much anything, London or otherwise. I was slightly irritated that I had to trek all the way down to London village when I went to see them earlier this year. Interestingly Jarvis identified Pulp as a London band at that gig, as that's where all their most famous songs were inspired and written.

Cat, pigeons, pigeons, cat...
