As above......won't have bike and staying Douglas. What has the Isle of Man got worth looking at? I'm working there for 2 days but will have a little bit of time.

Laxey wheel is worth a visit. There's loads of nice countryside. Get some kippers from Peel. Visit the Mananan (sp?) centre in Peel. Manx Museum in Douglas. There's a nice Italian in Laxey village too.

Failing that, hire the fastest rental car you can find and see how fast you dare take the Mountain section of the TT course. No speed limits when you see the round white sign with the black line across it, see? ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh, right down on the southern tip of the island is a village of old Manx houses set out as a sort of working museum. Forget what it's called now though.

Cregneash.
The Laxey wheel is the bit I would go for, but I'm an engineer.

In Douglas if you have time in the day try the I museum or the Manx museum. These are free and very good if you like that sort of stuff.

At night, Strand street should be lit up like its Christmas as would the promenade.

If you can get further afield all of the above are great suggestions ๐Ÿ˜‰

Although I also found the back roads very entertaining too.

http://www.bushys.com/the-rovers-return/ if you like proper beer
Artisan for a pint of Sierra Nevada on draught if you don't mind 4.50 a pint.
Peel, try the Creek or the Whitehouse good beer.
Sight seeing:-
Peel castle and Peel in general, Castletown, Cregneash, the Sound and it's cafe with views of the Calf Of Man, Point of Ayre at the very top or just alap of the circuit if time
Other than that take Stevio up on his bike offer.
