Exactly - Opal Manta GTE whats odd about that? Any Audi, Renault, Citroen all common cars bar a few of the early 70's Citroen like the SM for example. Maybe a few of the Renault V6 are rare yes not exactly odd through!!

Its a spelling error....he meant 'old', not 'odd'.

I only put the Opel Manta there to counter the Brown Cavalier which I thought was pretty odd, even though they're practically the same car.

I loved Manta's...and had 3, all of which ended up with a big dent in one or both of the rear wings

I also loved the Ascona - even better than the Manta. I had about 3 of them

Also had a Rekord for a little while - white with the Motorsport stripes

Old Opel's where brilliant and handled way better than the equivalent Ford's of the day

Old cars are way better than modern shite

Really? I'll refer you to the 1st post of the thread, which stated...
Any odd* cars you fancied in your childhood?

*Odd meaning the sort of car that would be less likely to have attracted the interest of your mates.

That pic of Rickard Rydell must be the most posted volvo ever. I'd like a late model cavalier, my dad always had cavs for company cars and I loved the last one like a brother, CDX with the V6 I think it was. And enables me to see your two wheels and raise you a John Clelland

When we were all teenagers we had a thing for small sporty Italian cars. The one I always wanted but never got (they had all rusted away before I could get my hands on one) was the Lancia HPE

[img] [/img]

I did however own a Fiat 124 sport coupe that was my first real car (til it caught fire on me!)

I also had a brief relationship with a Fulvia but I only got to drive it once under its' own power

A Dutton Phaeton.
I actually wanted one of these once. What was I thinking?
And then I saw one of these in the pub car park as a kid.

The Lagonda. Wedge lunacy, but somehow awesome.
