Please be better than the book of Boba Fett or the last two films.

Please Disney, Please!

Ooo… looks like live action Rebels. Especially the Inquisitors hunting Jedi.

Hopefully not the same level of Tatooine-based excitement as the last offering.

Is that Darth Vader without a helmet on or some other baddy?

Its an inquisator I think . In the rebels cartoons their kind of force sensitive sith types who are hunting down the remaining Jedi . They have cool spinning light Sabres 😎

Hayden Christianson is back, so guessing that's darth vader, Tatooine again (ok this time it had to be), so hopefully not another god awful space cowboy setting, how they have the entire galaxy to work with and end up in run down ok coral style places is beyond me.

It's not. He is in it though. Obvious final episode battle?

ok coral style places

Because it makes the set building easy?

Two other planets are shown in the trailer though.

The bald dude is unlikely to be Vader because the helmet and suit is his life-support system. From RotJ, "you'll die without it."

I assumed the kid in the goggles sat on top of the igloo was supposed to be Anakin? But if Christian is in it then either that scene is just an Easter Egg or the series is going to span across a good chunk of time.

When is it supposed to be set timeline-wise, do we know?

Aha.

"Disney has revealed a concrete place in the Star Wars timeline for the show, as Obi-Wan Kenobi takes place 10 years after Revenge of the Sith."

So "Anakin" no longer exists at this point. Where does Christian fit in then, flashbacks? Is he really playing Vader?

Luke.

Aaaah. That's not a bad shout.

Bald dude is the Grand Inquisitor from Rebels, who is a pretty good character actually. Be interesting to see how they handle the sisters and brothers (I the spinning sabres are a bit naff).
I thought fairly obvious the kid is Luke, as the actor playing Uncle Owen features in the trailer a fair bit.
It does look pretty good mind.

There's a dissection of the trailer and character overviews (with a few mild spoilers) here:

That’s Luke he’s watching through the binoculars. Looks family guy called it.

Slap bang between the last prequal and Star Wars. Instead of whiney late teenager Luke or whiney late teenager Anakin we'll have a 10 year old Luke (probally whiney).

Nice to see Joel Edgerton reprising his role, he wasn't exactly a household name when he first played 'Uncle' Owen, but he's gone onto some great roles and is pretty famous now.

Vader should be the Vader we know and love, anything else would stink - he's Vader at the end of Sith and Vader in Rogue One which is set about the same time as this.

And in Rebels.

We could well get scenes with the helmet off though. In fact, I think it's unlikely we won't given the casting.

I'm not one to prejudge something that hasn't even been aired yet, but I really can't see Christianson as Darth Vader. Unless they just use him for Hero shots and the rest of the time it's a stunt double. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong.

I thought Rogue one is set immediately before A New Hope. Ie they steal the plans that are on board in the opening scene.

I was surprised how easy it is to tell when different actors are in the suit. Christianson just looked wrong, like they'd put 6" shoulder pads on him and he was looking out of Vaders neck. The guy who played him in Rogue One was better, but a lot bulkier than David Prowse.

Who's writing and directing it, do we know?

Trailer looks promising. I don't usually like to watch them, but felt unusually curious about this one.

I just want them to redo the Obi Wan vs Darth Maul scene from Rebels.

Rogue one ends with the ship being boarded, which is where IV starts.

Ah.

https://ew.com/tv/darth-vader-obi-wan-kenobi-hayden-christensen-exclusive-photo

In our exclusive image above, we see Vader appearing to emerge from his meditation chamber, which begs the question: Since the meditation chamber allows the Sith Lord to remove his helmet (as seen in The Empire Strikes Back when poor Admiral Piett briefly admires the back of Vader's scarred head before the helmet is lowered over it), might this mean we will catch a glimpse of Vader sans mask in Obi-Wan Kenobi?

This wouldn't be due out just after most of us renew our subscriptions, would it?

Wouldn't be surprised if there was a double timeline using flashbacks like in Bobble Feet.
That would work well for having HC and a helmeted DV.

It's from the Darth Maul fight in the original film I think.

Hmm... mmm... Indira Varma. As you know what's go I wouldn't find it that challenging.

There’s a reason for that.
