American foreign policy in the Middle East has been a shambles for years. They support the Saudis and Egypt two of the most repressive states in the region, they support the Israelis, there are secret deals with Syria at the expense of the Lebanese...They've tried paying them they've tried bombing them...What else have they got other than words?

When the oil runs out, then it'll stop, and the region will go back to the dusty backwater it once was. Until then, it's the grand game.
