Hey all

We are really struggling to find a band we like the sound of in the Newcastle area for our wedding next April. We found one we liked but they were already booked for our date.

Anyone got any suggestions or know of anyone? We like indie rock stuff and thought a cover band made the most sense so people knew the songs. The venue can only really manage a 3-4 piece.

Cheers

MFOR are in Harrogate and sure they will travel. Can do metal through to U2, Keiser Chiefs, Billy Idol etc.

Email me and I'll give you a number to call them.

A band called 101 are good. I've seen them a few times in pubs and they played at a friend's wedding at a hotel. Play around Cleveland, but may be worth a try. Only contact I could find was here:

We had

and they were very good

we also looked at the laughing jacks and paul james band

We saw laughing jacks at another wedding and would have chosen them had they been available but had to carry on looking.

I only got married about 6 weeks ago so if you need any other recommendations let me know.

Our photographer was really good (Rachel Rose).

Cheers all - that gives us some stuff to look at over the weekend. Had a quick play of 101 and they sound pretty good.

Our photographer was really good (Rachel Rose).
Aye, we liked Rachel but she was a bit costly for us. Going to meet a guy tomorrow (who we have found out also rides) which I'm looking forward to.

Congratulations

Unplugged were very good at our wedding. Not sure if they’re the style you’re after, as there’re an acoustic 3 piece, but they are well worth considering. I believe they are resident at Opera Bar in The Gate (amongst other places), so you can ‘try before you buy’. They’re really well priced and play a wide range of popular songs and with enough notice, will try to learn any that you specifically want.

For a photographer we used Dan Yarrow. He’s based in North Shields and was also very good. A thoroughly nice chap who was able to commanded a large group of people very well on the day. He rides as well. Oh, yeah, he takes a good snap too! 😉
