Judging by the months ahead sellout at the BFI, you're not wrong! Maybe I'll just book a Vue-ing for free (courtesy of Lloyds bank). If it's that good, Lie-Max it later - as we did with Deadpool 🙂
Glasgow Science Centre is definitely "real" IMAX
I'm a bit torn on whether to try and get an IMAX ticket, or just nip up the road and watch it at the Showcase. No IMAX but a nice comfy seat. Lots of showings so don't need to book a week plus in advance and it's just up the road instead of all the way across town.
But will I regret not seeing it in IMAX?
It's a while since I've been to the science centre but the consensus is the seating area is so small that if you're too close, it's not great, so unless you can guarantee the right position id go for a normal screening.

It's digital not film.
So real IMAX but not 70mm IMAX.
But I think the digital/laser presentations are fab.

I might catch it in the UK again now I'm back as the Sheffield IMAX double laser projector set up is fantastic.
But I wasn't super blown away by the film.
just got back from the local liemax
it was really good fun, good cast, tons of action, dialogue a bit clunky in places, but , I liked the way the flashback style led to the grand finale -which was the sacking of Troy imo-, its a 3hr movie about ptsd!
All the exposition in the first 20 mins was a bit draggy, but some of the later bits still felt rushed, overall though really enjoyed it and Nolan knows how to make an epic ,
Yeah Kimbers that's how I see it.
Although I very much tired of the unravelling at the end which was Kermode's favourite bit.
(The dog and the bow were good MacGuffins though.)
Middle section was best for me.
(Small small thing but I found the landscapes pretty obvious when they switch to Iceland and or Scotland too. Iceland has become the defacto template for underworld/dark-side etc it's always obvious to me.)
No one mentioned Samantha Morton's bit yet? Fantastic scene and acting. Didn't realise she came from just up the road from me in Nottingham.
