My Passat is just under 3 years old. I've been getting a noise from the rear nearside wheel which I think is a bearing. Should I get this looked at quickly (could it become catastrophic?).
Do you think this would be a warrenty issue too?

Depends on the miles, but if it's less than 3 years it should be a warranty item. VW customer services are pretty good, so I'd get down to your garage and see what their take is.

It'll be fine right up to gives in all together doing even more damage, but don't worry that won't happen until any time from very soon until weeks or months.
