If I read it right, she hid in the boot in order to stop being sent to Poland with her ?mum?
It certainly wasn't clearly explained and was rather convenient.

Just finished this last night, totally loved it! I assumed she got into the boot of her own choice. How will Joy explain why she was there?
Do you think they will try and pass his death off as suicide? Broke his hand just before the tour and so took his life, drink and drugs in his system?
