His Mail column as ex-PM pays him four times as much as his Telegraph column paid him before he was PM.

It's true that ministers (currently) have to give up their columns... Farage changing the rules to carry on being paid for media gigs isn't hard to imagine, is it. Current rules can be torn up. He'll claim "tearing up the rule book" as part of his mandate if he becomes PM.

Anyway, whatever stopped Farage being interviewed by Kuensberg yesterday has cleared up, as he's been on camera today

He’s just been on Channel 4 news and after some brief half-arsed condemnation he’s back in his comfort zone as a Trump apologist/toady

"Accidently" broke the MP's rules 17 times.

Nigel Farage inadvertently breached MPs' financial rules 17 times, says watchdog - BBC News

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Odd he has mastered computers enough to do all his cameo gigs. I guess those are for profit vs accountability.

It does seem to be just a personal service company aka a way of reducing taxes (I dont think the liability side of things will be a factor).

Last time he "answered" about it his spokesbod said “Thorn in the Side Ltd has traded for 15 years and has a variety of interests. It renders the services of several contractors and is a properly functioning company.”

I am guessing those contractors aint full time ones.

"I'm not, I'm afraid, computer literate, which makes me yet more an oddball than perhaps I was before."

Sorry, as I know I'm making a generalisation here but it has to be said, doesn't the above also describe his voter demographic too? I'm sure he *also* thinks that and that's why, in part, he said it.

So blame our Nige' not me. 😁

I liked how he said (or at least how it was reported) people are voting for him because societal morals are in decline 🤣

Not necessarily. One of the things reform and co are good at is using social media. cant find it right now but there was a study suggesting amongst the 55+ it was reform voters who were more likely to use social media for news vs other groups.

World would be a ‘better place’ if US took over Greenland, says Nigel Farage

Interesting isn't it? I think his fate is now intrinsically tied to Trump's. That's a huge exploitable weakness right there and Farage knows it.

Whilst those that still support him are highly unlikely to change their vote no matter what he does (it's a MAGA style cult now), if nothing else, I'm hoping that the revulsion towards him and Trump will result in an, "anyone but  Farage/Trump" vote. Suppressing Farages voters from voting at all will the best we'll get get from them. Farage distancing himself from trump will encourage that scenario. Farage is in a vise if his own creation.

Farage has to carry on supporting Trump most of the time because most of their views are so closely aligned and so publicly stated. He disagrees with Trump too much and his base will crucify him, they really do want a Trump clone installed into power over here. It would take only one Trump SM post decrying Farage as a sell out and he's be in real trouble with many of his voters.

As trump causes more and more chaos over the next 3 years I can only see that link between them worsening Farages position and motivating moderate/left wing voters to keep him out with tactical voting.

Ideal? No, necessary? Yes.

Without disagreeing with you, one thing that's worth pointing out is that Trump has no interest in Farage at all. Trump didn't bother meeting Farage when he (Farage) flew to the US after Trump was shot, and Farage (like Truss) was a total failure at CPAC. The idea that they are great mates is one put about only by Farage...

...but his support base eats it up

Totally agree with you to matey, in fact I'm really hoping you are dead right as Trump will turn on Farage at the drop of a hat as soon as Farage tries to distance himself from him. There is zero loyalty there.

This really is a vise of Farage's own makeing, support Trump over the years to come and he's tied himself to a madman, disavow him and his diehard voters will tear him to bits.

This really is a vise of Farage's own makeing.👍

If he recruits Howie will he get David Icke next?

I'm really hoping that a combination of these toxic new recruits, his closeness to trump and the fags n booze see the ****er off.

Probably Troies with a modicum of decency.

I don't think Cruella will join as her fella was quit Reform when they criticised her...

In December 2024, Rael Braverman joined Reform UK, but resigned seven months later after his wife was criticised by Reform's former chairman over a political matter.

The above is from Wikipedia

You'd hope so, teej, but after Brexit and COVID and Johnson, I'm not feeling very enthusiastic about the wisdom of the crowd tbh. I think we might actually be a bunch of idiots

Unbecoming as it is to take any pleasure in someone's demise, there's a wry irony that a man (last paragraph) "whose world revolved around those he loved" should die doing something driven by hate.

Ha-Ha,

Very similar to the incident I saw driving into Carlisle as I dropped a mate off at the station, spotted a flag tyer up a ladder on the way into Carlisle dropped mate off at station and on way out there was an ambulance attending someone on the pavement.

Reported on local news website that the man suffered a heart attack and fell, broke his leg, collarbone but ultimately recovered in hospital

Like I said….Ha-Ha

He fell because he leant too far to the right.

A well-known fan of Bristol City, Mr Lumber had written two books based on his experiences, titled It All Kicked Off In Bristol, which explored football hooliganism.

Nuff said.

Career politicians innit... no morals, no principals, just in it for the easy money and the gold plated pension.

Not sure that applies to councillors

Why wouldn't it? if they are wearing the colours of a political party, that makes them a politician in my book.

Being a councillor isn't a recipe for easy money and gold plated pensions. It's being attacked online by name by every halfwit and nobber in your neighbourhood that throws around smug smartarsed ignorant comments. There's not a pension in the world that would convince me to do it.

I said after Jenrick that she was bound to be next!

It really is just so predictable which of these washed-up Tory rejects are going to end up with Nige. It has to be be Mad Lizzie next.

Farage has completely lost it if he thinks this motley shower of Kemis cast offs are going to win him votes. The voters slung most of them out at the last election.

Nope. Farage was too busy hiding from awkward questions about Trump and being an honorary advisor to the global elite in Davos to hold any press conferences.

Councillors, on average, work 22 hours a week, and get paid around £15,000 a year for it. You might call that "easy money", but you'd probably be in a minority on that one.

They are assembling a proper Bastion of Turds.

At what point will it start to damage them, or are these the loons that the Reform demographic are drawn too?

When do they get Reese Mogg?
