Misogyny?
To wit: Women are delicate flowers that shouldn't be taking part in physical sports. What are they doing out of the kitchen?
Although I'm not sure it really is being misogynistic, in fact he's rather overprotective in a way. While of course demonstrating how backwards and sexist his views are.
... which he admits to.
I realise this will probably sound appallingly sexist
Idiot of the highest order. "I watched a women's fight, and was appalled to see women fighting!!" What were you expecting, competitive knitting? Top tip: don't watch it.
I couldn't help wondering about their soft limbs battered black and blue with bruises
I wouldn't think there's much soft about a world-class Judo player's limbs, be they man or woman.
They both showed pure, naked, fierce, animalistic aggression of a sort that one doesn't naturally associate with women โ or girls for that matter.
Clearly this man has yet to walk through a British city centre or town of a weekend evening.
It's not animalistic though, is it?
...and just wait until the poor delicate wee man sees the boxing.
"This wasn't the day after Christmas I was expecting!
I had to watch it in its entirety before voicing my disgust, however"
Personally I think they should be fighting in a paddling pool full of baby oil.
properly grappling with each other, throwing each other with full force onto the mat. They both showed pure, naked, fierce, animalistic aggression
Mysogynistic or not I watched that fight and none of that happened. Sounds like he'd written the article long before the event.
is women fighting each other violently a perfectly wholesome spectator sport?
No more or less so than men doing it
After a few minutes I'd got used to it. But, then, you can get used to anything, can't you?
I have still not got used to reactionary numbnutts and sexist antiquated buffoons so its a no from me .
I love a bit of mysogeny on any afternoon, or any morning or evening for that matter.
Not really interested in women's sports full stop.

It's misogyny! Although, again, I'd argue that that is not necessarily misogynistic, but is possibly sexist.
