They have a set price, amazon won't let them retain cheaper. Best bet is find a friend with discount somewhere. I got mine for £81 with staff discount, we have the old ones in stock still and they still haven't been discounted. Amazon take them back off us at some point.

That doesn't appear to be cheaper than £89?

So every sells them at exactly the same price?

John lewis were clearing older ones out recently, it wasn't much of a discount but its was circa £75, tesco had them at around that recently as well so there are some discounts out there.

I did a big shop at tescos, got the spend £90 get £13 off clubcard voucher, then went back and bought the kindle and a bottle of coke for £90.05 with £13 off.

They aren't sold under £89 anywhere without a voucher of some kind.

Actually IIRC the tesco reduction was utilising a discount on tesco direct for total basket cost rather than a straight kindle purchase so its possible they are price controlled. Almost certain JL Reading had some labelled up as reduced last month in their clearance event but wasn't really looking for one - they were 1st generation i noticed

True, but that's not what you asked for. You asked for the cheapest place that had stock, which is the link I provided.

You might be able to find somewhere taking part in TopCashBack or QuidCo type rebate deals or be able to stack Clubcard vouchers towards one, but AFAIK there aren't any 'cheap deals' to be had. They cost what they cost, much like the iPad.

On the upside, it's well worth 90 quid.
