If anyone posts a YouTube video on here, I can't see the still preview of it, all I get is the URL link at the bottom of a blank area where the preview would be. I can click the link and watch the video (sometimes) but can't watch the embedded video right off the page like I can on my laptop.

Is this a flash/android thing?

In the browser goto settings - advanced - enable plugins - always on.

That's assuming you're using the default android browser. You probably also need flash installed.

There is no flash for the latest versions of android...

Fwiw I use Opera mini for browsing the forum as it allows quick dipping in and out of threads due to the caching so it's not constantly reloading pages.

You can install it if you've preciously installed it from the market, before its removal, I think... it's on my phone anyway and I'm running jelly bean.

Oh yeah, I'm using Dolphin browser incidentally..

No matter which browser I use there seems to be an annoying downfall with it. I love dolphin for its side-swiping for bookmarks etc, but this seems to be something it can't do..

You can install Flash from the Adobe website and then also grab the Firefox beta from Google Play which is Flash enabled.

I still use Chrome for most of my browsing, but use Flashify to quickly switch to Firefox if needed.

My browser recommendation atm is "Naked Browser", feature free and a bit fugly but very fast
