Me n mar mate are doing the C2C over 2 days in May and want to end with a piss up in the toon. Can anyone recommend a cheapo B&B, hotel or hostel with secure bicyle storage as we'll be stashing the van at carlisle, and will get the train back to there the next morning.
Thanks all.

do they allow that? I take you have personal experience houns? coz otherwise that's a great idea, the receptionists face when we wheel muddy bikes through and into the lift will be a picture! lol.

Taken bikes into Premier Inn before, always phoned ahead and asked if OK. On LEJOG last year we were allowed to put them in their laundry room along with soaking kit.

Get in touch with The Hub, and see if they have any recommendations. Premier apartments, just up the hill, are a partner, but I'm not sure if they would fit with your 'cheap' requirement.

I hear the cycle hub is subject to a compulsory purchase order ๐Ÿ™

there's a premier inn on the quayside that has underground parking, not sure if it's secure, but you may be able to lock them in there...
