Don’t give up, Bodies gets very good and there’s twists all the way to the very very end of the final episode, post credits.
I had a long pause after Episode 3 before returning to it. It's OK but all the time travel stuff messed with my head a bit.
Third series of Lupin - I keep thinking he'd make a fab Bond 🙂
And the Bear - yes I know we're a year late, but ohmyword it's brilliant. I have a hankering for a beef sandwich and a lie down in a dark room. Shall finish off series 1 later and then onto the new ones. I'm fully expecting S1 to end with Carmy staggering out of a burning restaurant, with Richie close behind looking guilty!
Oh and Humans. That's good as well. We've parked it for a bit tho as we're binging other stuff.
On my daughters recommendation we watched Locke and co. Shame they aren't going to make a second series. Apparently follows the books quite closely.
Just started watching Squid Game, the challenge, ink capsules going off when they're caught, rather than actually being shot oddly enough 🙄.
Could be a fun watch watching some annoying folk get cut down 🤣
Fall of the house of usher was really good
I've never been into gothic stuff, never really like Poe, but I'm enjoying this show.
New season of Fargo, with the lass from Ted Lasso 🙂
Cool.
Loved the Killer. Fincher on fine minimalist form.
Great cinematography and editing.
Had optimistic hopes for The Killer. Was deeply disappointed. Could have been so much better but ended up being something both myself and Mrs BC struggled to stay awake through.
I did enjoy the first of The Continental series though. Mrs BC not so keen so have yet to watch the other two episodes.
We thought The Burial was an enjoyable enough film to watch and also A million miles away. Neither are world shattering films but they were entertaining and enjoyable to watch.
Is Fargo5 streaming on Prime?
Couldn't see it after a quick search last night.
was on Prime wednesday (Fargo). didn't recongise the lad from stranger things as a wrong un! 😀 the Wagatha from Lasso is fantastic!
Thanks Klunk, will do a better search tonight 👍
I have a hankering for a beef sandwich
I've put in a request for a Berf t-shirt for christmas, it'll make sense when you get there (s2 I think). Great show though.
Massively late, but through recommendations from others I've got into Only sunny in Philidelphia recently, I'm still not sure I appreciate it though.

Indeed, it's turning into a bit of an endurance trial. Not Stephen Graham playing Stephen Graham, so not at his best either.
So Fargo is on Amazon Prime? I'll have a look
hopefully a return to form - seasons 1 & 2 were amazing, 3 less so and then 4 - promised a lot due to the period setting etc but all i remember is the fat italian guy actually chewing the scenery with his overacting
Re Bodies, the missus and I took our time digesting it over a few days. From E4, we started pausing to chat through our interpretation of what was happening and how various threads were starting to link up. Sometimes we were right, sometimes not. Worth watching through to the end though. The MIL was so taken with it on first viewing that she rewatched the whole thing straight after to look out for all the bits of foreshadowing. Normally she works out whodunnits etc very early on, but this one had her baffled.
So if I have all day tomorrow alone to watch TV, Lupin would be a good shout?

Minimalist in terms of plot, certainly.
Two more ways to pass a c0uple of hours while checking up on your Facebook or whatever:
"Locked In" - highly improbable story about a highly improbable domestic situation.
"355" - even more improbable "secret agents" drama with Charlie's Angels flavour. Still, Diane Kruger, eh?
Lupin would be a good shout
Yes, can definitely recomend it.
Does anybody know of anything similar??
squid game the challenge is excellent. They've done a really good job at twisting everything in ways you don't quite expect
Player 299 … if you keep making that noise I’ll bloody shoot you myself
Good shout on Fargo! Just finished Bosch: Legacy S2, which did get better as things progressed. Wrapped up Happy Valley which really is an excellent piece of TV all round and made me very homesick for Yorkshire.
Enjoying Shetland, but can't stand having to wait a week for each episode - what's that about?!
Slow Horses S3 starts Friday, and if it's following the third book it should be cracking.
Beyond that, I see Kin's on BBC now; it was on RTE for a while and got solid reviews. Funny to see Aiden Gillen's in it, as he was with Love/ Hate (the other Irish gangster show).
Anyone watched Dark Winds? It got a decent review in the Guardian, sounded worth checking out
Anyone watched Dark Winds?
I enjoyed it. It's a popcorn cop show, set on a Native American reservation. Excellent cast.
Cold Pursuit
Just shows you that some plough drivers need to have a 'special' set of skills, and they will find you 😆
Gave up long before the credits, but the parts I watched (on fast forward) managed to race through an impressive list of clichés and OTT stereotypes 👍 🤪
Cold Pursuit – dead funny – literally – including the movie credits
It's really enjoyable switch your brain off and see some baddies get what they had coming stuff. Even sillier than John Wick, just as entertaining if you like that sort of thing.

Yes it's quite watchable. Based on a book by Tony Hillerman who has written a series of crime dramas set on NA reservations.
I just kept feeling sorry for Liam,he looks like he’s getting too old for all this shit.
Try watching Tulsa King with Sly Stallone as a mobster. It's quite entertaining, but Stallone isn't getting any younger.
Can't be bothered to split the streaming services per thread:
Paramount+ probably my favourite because I dig Taylor Sheridan stuff so much. Bass Reeves (which he produced rather than wrote) is a steadfast addition to the Western genre. Bass Reeves was on of the first Black Deputy US Marshals. This is clearly not in the Yellowstone universe as is based partly on history.
Yellowstone S5 pt 2 looking like next November - sigh.
Also Mayor of Kingstown S2 which Sheridan did scribe is excellent. Very, very grim and the dialogue can be hard to follow - always put subs on - but Jeremy Renner (now recovering well after that terrible Snow Plough accident in Lake Tahoe) is fantastic as the prison/crime/town inbetweener. I don't think it's as strong a S1 - S1 had a sense of clarity. But this is still full of grit and surprises.
Really enjoying the new Frasier on p+ - so many people hating on it but is still establishing its character. If you want that 90s vibe and you like Frasier you might settle into it. Missing some of the older characters. I'm not the biggest Nicholas Lyndhurst fan but he's got good timing. Would prefer Daphne to show up!

Ha - I thought he was cast well in this one. Slightly tongue-in-cheek with a 90s vibe!
Also the Waco series is on paramount plus now. That's an interesting dramatic recreation of the Texan siege. I think this was HBO originally and hard to see in UK due to rights issues.
And also Waco:aftermath (2023) which I know little about. Neither of these to be confused with the Netflix doc.
Live to 100, Secrets of the Blue zones. Good cinematography, interesting subject and some nice travel from your seat on the sofa.
Also watching Justified: City primeval on Disney, it's not as good as old justified. (Think it's already been mentioned too).
I really need to give Justified a go.
Just watched 'last night in soho' on netflix.
I think it's one of the best films I've seen in ages.
Can I give a Not Recommendation...?
Uncharted.
Netflix popped it up as a recommended view on my feed as I was scrolling aimlessly through last night looking for something to watch.
What a pile of utter shite. I somehow sat there through the whole thing as it got steadily worse and worse.
^^ yeah Severance is really good. One you have to go with for a bit as it picks up. I find with Apple there's just enough to watch to keep the sub going. Like Slow Horses (good but not as good as it thinks it is) coming back this week
just seen Fargo s.5 first episode and its a humdinger so far. All the Fargo tropes in full effect
yes its great – but don’t be put off by the first episode or two as I think its a genuine pilot episode and it takes a bit to get going. I think Season 2 is when it really hits its mark (AFAI can recall)
No problem - I'm all okay on a series finding its feet over time.
👍
Severance was an utter classic, I rate it as probably the best show of the last couple of years.
Justified is great popcorn TV. I originally gave up on it after the first episode because it seemed so corny, but then smart people kept raving about it being great so I tried again. Great cast, with Timothy Oliphant and Walton Goggins squaring off against each other. The rest of the cast were stellar too.
Ah yeah, turns out I watched Cold Pursuit - it's pretty decent. As ever, you could argue it's not as good as the Scandi original (Stellen Skarsgard IIRC), but perfectly serviceable with a pizza and a bottle of wine
Watched first two eps of Robbie Williams doc last night.
Very watchable and admirably warts-and-all, as others have said.
Disturbed and amused by the realisation that he seems to be turning into Morrissey though (physically, not politically).
Just watched ‘last night in soho’ on netflix.
Thanks, will add to list.
