Help i need to buy one for my daughter, i know nothing about them which one should i get?

What will she use it for? General surfing, watching films? I'd go for a windows one, linux is great for some people but probably not in this case. Go for good battery life, there's quite a range. The biggest difference I've found is ergonomics. Some of the mouse button layouts really don't work for me and the keyboards can be a bit odd.

Well happy with the Samsung NB30 I've been using recently. Only thing I've changed is RAM (swapped the standard 1Gb for a 2Gb module - a 2 minute job), and I've also added a wireless mouse.
