Are pods from non-Nespresso suppliers of a similar quality/taste to the originals? Some are a lot better value but is the coffee therein worse?

we got some and they were pretty bad, went back to the nespresso pods before we'd finished the lot we bought.

Same here, alternative ones are poor, stick with nespresso. Worth the extra few pence.

There's a refillable thing, Coffee duck, that let's you use your own beans. No idea if it's any good, but when I've looked into nespresso before it seemed like a good idea.

I got some coffee duck capsules and they are OK but take some getting used to. Coffee tends to be weaker. Use a very fine grind to improve the strength.

I have the coffee duck pods and they work absolutely fine. Not as good as espresso tho and no crema on the ground coffee I use levazza or illy. Saves money tho

Waitrose are selling Coffee Pod capsules. They're about the same price as the Nespresso pods and individually wrapped to waste even more packaging!
The taste of them is underwhelming.
