Got 12 hours of driving to do this weekend. I now have access to Amazon Music in the car, so it's occurred to me I need a driving playlist. Give me some ideas please.

If you don't want this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Top-Gear-Driving-Anthems-Various/dp/B00FZ2TV9O

You'll have to specify what genres of music you like!

Actually, if it involves posting videos and links, this is probably the wrong forum to be asking on. <insert bemused smiley>

Well don't mind some classic rock but most of it has been done to death.

Two that came up on Amazon that I liked were Everyones a Winner by Hot Chocolate and something by Fleetwood Mac that I forgot the name of. Basically, I think driving music is something reasonably mellow but with a bit of a beat, 120bpm walking tempo.

Generally my taste is the kind of thing Amazon calls Indie Rock, but most stuff that's guitary/folky/melodic.

In that area, I'm loving this album at the mo

Ty Segall - http://amzn.eu/ipj8BkG (even contains a Hot Chocolate cover!)

And King Gizzard

All We Are

http://amzn.eu/f0C2q8L (I can't get to the new album on Amazon cos you gotta be Unlimited)

On Spotify, The Craig Charles funk & Soul playlist is always fresh and lively. See if it's available on your playlist privider.

To break up the music I generally have a load of Radio 4 comedy downloads to listen to on iPlayer. And a few podcasts.

It definitely needs King of the Road by Fu Manchu on there. It should be on every driving playlist.
