obviously need to have cover in case of damage loss (£600?)
and befort anyone says they will collect ...no cos it's 2nd hand and 7 yrs old. (they do free repair and return post as long as the prob isn't through neglect)
Can you ask them if you can pay the collect cost?
Otherwise check ParcelFusion or one of the other brokers - make a big difference for non-UK shipments
Interparcel are ok and you can choose which carrier and service to use.
Also worth considering is Royal Mail Airsure - you can insure the item and it's also tracked.
Try shiply.com
Yuo have to sign up but it's free to list. Couriers who are going places already bid for your custom, then just pick your package up on the way. I sent an intercooler weighing about 10kg to Germany for £28 which was about 1/10th of the cost via parcelforce.
thanks folks ...discovered they use DPD so must be good.
seems it would could cost me approx £30 with £1000 insurance and 2 day delivery.
