Its a pointing trowel that's been used a lot. Mine doesn't look like that!

Think it might be a 'Dibber' or maybe a 'Dabber' or come to think of it it could be a 'Thingymajig', definetly not a 'Hammer' though.

just get a small tool. i know that sounds like im sending you off to the stores for skyhooks but that is what its called.
