And a bonus one - at the end of 'Hanx' by Stiff Little Fingers, the album title is the final word on the album (right at the end of Suspect Device), while not being a lyric in any of the other songs on the album.

Not my sort of music, but All Modern Conveniences by Clifford T Ward fits the brief.

Is it too far out of bounds to say - pretty much anything by the cocteau twins....

Not what's being discussed but the only discernible words on Into the Valley are Into the Valley and they're the ones written on the label.

Thinking about it that would be a great song for me to do at open mic nights cos I'm rubbish at getting the words right.

There's a little ditty by Napalm Death called You Suffer.

The title is only sung once and is in fact, the only lyric.

Nice one @chipps Communique is another album I’ve not listened to for years and I’ll take any excuse to play some more SLF 😀

Don’t think I’ve heard of Clifford T Ward before @crewlie and now I’ve played that I’m not sure I’ll be rushing to buy his next album but yes, that fits the bill 😀

Songs where the title is the only lyric is probably a different category. I reckon it has to have some other lyrics and then just mention the title once at the very end to count.

You’ll like this one.. he keeps you guessing right til the end 😊

i first thought of Uncertain Smile, but he doesn’t quite save it til the end in that.
I WILL find something from the last 10 years if it kills me!

Plenty out there without the title in the lyrics . Favourite Shirts by haircut 100 , The Killing of Georgie by Rod Stewart . Sorry for the thread hijack but how about a chart song without rhyming lyrics . Jonny and Mary by Robert Palmer is one

Laid by James (though he does sing Laid twice at the end but I feel this still counts).

Title only mentioned once - Skunk Anansie - Twisted.

(The subtitle 'Every day hurts' is the main chorus, but 'twisted' only gets a look in once...)

or just that we are all people of a certain age?
I think we all know the answer to that one…

Well, a high proportion of modern popular music is, quite frankly garbage, turned out cookie-cutter style by producers using an endless supply of anonymous nonentities, repeating the same mindless nonsense over and over and over…

But who gives a shit, there’s still more outstanding music out there, and more being produced all the time, than is possible to even scratch the surface of in a lifetime.
