I really don't get it

It's a mountain biking reference.
98% of the forum won't get it.

Awww thanks for the nice thoughts guys.

It pre-dates Smoke/Dart (noob!)

Skinny thigh? Maybe, I'm a medium build, 75kg/6' guy, not much fat around.

Sagan's Joker/Fingerbobs tribute has a freakishly long index finger!

OP, I quite like the tat. A slightly thicker outer outline would help it though.

It's my elderly skin. Elasticity is a distant memory.

Is it not a representation of a cilice, like that worn by Silas the albino in the Da Vinci Code?

I thought all cyclists had taught, round, powerful buttocks...like mine.

Recognised that tread pattern straight away, but I would def consider a bit of shading on that, just so it's a bit more obvious what it actually is.

I owned one myself, but I'm not sure how many other peeps go that far back.

It really is a classic. There were a few others afterwards that were recognisable but after that it all became a bit of a mush. Groondies were the tyre back in the day

It looks like a bored meeting doodle. The kind of meeting with grey carpet tiles, a flickering fluorescent tube and a very big spreadsheet.

But like all tattoos all that matters is you think it's awesome.

I once spent and entire day in school colouring in my left arm in with a biro ... Was literally about 6 hours work.

I struggle to remember why I did so badly in any A levels 😆

Remind me...post up yours?

Mr Smith and sargey, great that you accept all that matters is how I feel about it...why then expend effort telling the world how shit you think it is?

Like the sound of your own voices?

No one listening in the real world?

And similar comments....
I’ve got a tattoo round my ankle. It was (sort of) my own design and because of what it’s based on it wouldn’t look right if every line and bit of shading was perfect. I took the design in and asked for it to be slightly rough as I’d drawn it, and not to be straightened out.
To my mind a tyre print would be the same. Imagine seeing it in mud. It would t be sharp, crisp and perfectly shaded would it?
I recognised it instantly. I used to use those tyres. I like it. 🙂
