you would think tms would be tired humourless men in suits program but it's not, the tired humourless bores in suits is sky tv.
Poor old Boycs......
yep I always prefer the radio commentary though it used to be out by a ball or 2 some days. It's a bit better in TV down here for the ashes but I'll be sticking with the radio team
Moeen on a hat trick.
I don't mind Sky, particularly when they get Bumble ****ting about and annoying Grumble.
On matters in hand though - start the car......
😯 😆
Moeen on a review.......
yes! Got him! That's out!, etc.
Hat-trick for the win!
The new CricInfo site is playing up spectacularly badly at the moment - they still have them at 205/7
BBC text hasn't updated since 170 for me. Great way to finish though
first test match inning with 4 first ball ducks 😀
First ever Test hat-trick at the Oval apparently and only the third time ever that a Test match has ended with a hat-trick.
No idea what happens in the next match!!
Morning everybody.
England batting first. Bit of moisture in the air.
Looking forward to Anderson bowling from the Anderson end later in the game!
An inauspicious start.

I'm looking forward to Root bowling him from the Statham end all game for the lolz
(stolen from twitter)
😆
I don't get it.
Hope that person in the crowd didn't meet their maker
I believe they were fine
I love watching Rabada bowl, even if he's not set the world alight this tour. That kind of silky, effortless pace is mesmerising to watch. Ian Bishop, Michael Holding, Malcolm Marshall - I can't think of too many others that made bowling at paint stripping pace look as easy as Rabada does.
Here we go again!
Utterly fantastic test cricket
jimmy jimmy
Splendid payback for the renaming.
Meanwhile for Nottingham, Hales out for 95.
Off 30 balls!
Great day of test cricket that!
😀
just on catch up. That's a heck of a grab by Stokes!
I'm mega disappointed that Root missed the chance for some bantz
Yes absolutely fabulous cricketer tis Stokes
Meanwhile for Nottingham, Hales out for 95.Off 30 balls!
scored the last 45 of 11 deliveries (including the one that got him out)
Big lead then
Hopefully!! Don't fancy batting on day5 though!
why do people use the sky sports ear things ? can't miss the long periods of silence and bet365 ads !
moeen ali is far too good a batsmen to come in number 8 😯
he got hold of that!
moeen moeen moeen moeen moeen moeen moeen moeen moeen moeen ali

obvious vacancies at 2 and 5...
Moeen is great at 7 or 8, don't ruin him by putting him earlier to cover other's deficiencies.
I would move Stokes, Barstow, and Moeen up one, with Woakes at 8.

He's wasted batting with "rent a muppet" broad.

Change the channel and you get TMS....
Nice start.
Change the channel and you get TMS....
they need that to tell the sky commentary team trying to get the attention of the crowd members wearing them 😀
oi michael, yorkies are always grumpy.
Yes, yes, yes!
God this is dragging a bit now. Surely they can't bat his out can they?
Or could they even go on to win? 220 odd for 7 is doable and confidence will be increasing.... 😐
Daggers put the jinx on em' 🙂 much Graeme Smiths chagrin !
me to thank...... just put a 'Judas' bet against England thus ensuring the victory is now completed today.
On another note - I feel old. I remember Amla coming into test cricket and thinking he looked a good player - now he's soon to depart it.
Moeen!
Lovely.
moeen moeen moeen moeen moeen moeen moeen moeen moeen moeen moeen moeen ali !
😆
That's more like it 🙂
Fat lady warming up?
Oh yes!
BOOM!
Michelle for Moeen as well!
only man to get 25 wickets and 250 runs in a 4 match series
not bad for a second spinner
Interesting article about the logistics of the upcoming day night tests. Tea and dinner anyone?
Some great comments too
Brilliant piece about the terror at Sabina Park in 85/86.

I can confirm Patterson was a very scary sight on the pitch having seen him in his early years when he played county cricket, although almost all of them were in that era.
So, a day/nighter!
England batting first.
Good Afternoon everyone. Pitch is a 'belter' apparently.
great pink ball bantz
It's not just pink it's 80s PINK
aha the best pink
And it's just got its first victim.
DROP HIM
😀 it's a very good delivery. 18-1
Hmmm.....
a pink ball, day night, Stoneman's first ball in test cricket misses the short bit and hits second slip who has to leave the field with a damaged hand. Hits second and third for four. Gets a jaffa and departs. Welcome to test cricket, it's not always like this!
