The final scene of The Mission (De Niro, Irons etc.).
The dollar westerns are full of it
pretty much all films are enhanced by music
it interesting that the opening scene from his once upon a time in the west is so epic with no music just the creak of the wind water pump.
Oh and Scotty doesn't know, Eurotrip 😀
As a full score 'spy game' is excellent
Spaghetti '60 seconds to what'
actual song - 'waiting for a star to fall' in '3 men and a little lady'
The opening of 28 Days later - just the way it builds...
& the opening of Watchmen...
pretty much all films are enhanced by music
Yup! try one without:

The film is an accompaniment to the music. The music sets the emotion, it dictates the pace of the shots and the edit. The footage is practically unbearable on its own.
🤩
Risky Business has a tremendous score.
Fallen, with Denzel Washington.
I remember watching this when it first came out in the late 90's and right up to the final scene, I was thinking it was an okaaay movie, but not brilliant. Then Sympathy for the Devil kicks in, and pretty much made the entire movie for me. Still makes me smile when I think about it.
I think the music in Drive is cheesy and intrusive personally. Intrusive doesn't make for scene enhancement... But hey ho. 🙂
Free Blood at the beginning of 127 Hours is a stormer. Nice bit of desert MTB too.
Anyone mentioned the helicopter dog chase at the start of The Thing? I still remember that from seeing the film the first time at the cinema. One of the best.
Starts about 2min 30s
Animal House - Louie Louie 😆
Apocalypse Now, ride of the Valkyries
Jaws
Matrix films
2001
Alien (seriously, listen to the soundtrack, its really disturbing and should not be used as a revision concentration aid)
Jail break scene in Natural Born Killers.

Nothing’s gonna stop us now by starship in The Mannequin :-).
Good choices already btw.
The final scene in last of the Mohicans. Just wouldn't be the same without the music.
Highlander - epic film and epic Queen soundtrack!!
final scene in "heat"
the whole of "moon" but that goes for most clint mansell soundtracks
title scene in zombieland
Couple of dark ones!
Lost highway: song to the siren
Requiem for a dream: lux aeterna
I think the music during the snow sword fight scene between Uma Thurman and Lucy Lui really adds to the mood at the end of Kill Bill Vol 1.
Also not a particular scene, but the soundtrack by Nick Cave to the Australian film The Proposition adds to that film.
Just remembered about Vangelis' score for The Bounty. Great during many scenes when the action gets really tense.
Kate Bush 'This Woman's Work' in She's Having A Baby.
You'd be a hard man to not break at that scene.
Hard to imagine the film The Graduate without Simon & Garfunkel adding to the soundtrack..
Mrs Robinson, hard to think which came first the Song or the Film..
And another, not that I really liked the film much 🧟♂️
But The Exorcist has an instant “urrrgh” feeling when the theme starts up..
You may not have liked it at the time, but the theme really did fit the feel and moment in Miami back then..
And instantly recognisable, and did enhance the film by some merit (IMO)
Last of the Mohicans
For those interested in the effect music has on a film, you may want to watch/set your recorders for this
https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0002pf6
This one is iconic IMO, instantly takes you back to the late 70’s, evokes images of grime ridden streets and trashy living.. and you tap your toes to it.
Again, another that deflects from the more grim scenes of the film and sort of leaves you feeling “yeah, good film man” ( if you remove the rather grotty gang bang scene that is )
Lego Batman movie, first fight scene..."you wanna get nuts?"
Also hawkman battle in Flash Gordon
Ha when I mentioned Lebowski earlier I'd forgotten that scene. Oh and you know what? For the first time I realised it uses an Eagles song (the dude despises the Eagles) to represent his nemesis in the bowling league. How have I missed that all these years?
A cool "live" cover of Crockett's theme
A Clockwork Orange.
Mostly Rossini for the nasty bits.
Brilliant film of one of my favourite books.
Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and 2 - brilliant soundtrack, especially the first scene in Guardians 2.
Nick Cave to the Australian film
Also did the music for the superb He’ll or High Water. There are some great bit of music in that film
The original Picnic at Hanging Rock. Pretty much all of it.
An American Werewolf in London - great soundtrack and very funny editing.
The church scene in Kingsman to Freebird. I thought that was excellent.
Once upon a time in the West, the harmonica bits.
Ending of Inception..
another vote for ennio morricones gabriels oboe from the mission.
immortal beloved is a favourite of mine and beethovens life and music are woven into the plot.
anything by van gelis as per the kermode prog the other night (which was ace)
Two words.....Dirty Dancing!!!
🙂
I Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In) from The Big Lebowski dream sequence.
The use of The End In Apocalypse Now.
Pretty much all of O Brother Where Art Thou.
High Plains Drifter and it’s freaky arse soundtrack
I was forced to watch Dirty Dancing! And it was ... ok! A million times better than that Star is Born travesty!
Beyond the Black Rainbow, just right from the start loved the music and visuals.
