as per the title any suggestions ?
I'm drawing a blank.
Bit of u2
Still haven't found what I'm looking for.....
{Now where did I put that packet of biscuits....}
On a more helpful note what's the general theme of the music for the wedding. e.g I had a Ceilidh so that dictated the choice to some extent....
open to any slow dance suggestions .. theme ? two mid fifties getting wed .
Ours was Africa by Toto, which was meaningful for us.
Got anything like that?
If none of those appeal, just do the birdie song.
Every rose has its thorn.
What sort of style? for a confident woman and an audience that likes a laugh:
if me an t'missus had ever got married it would have been
but it would have been a somewhat x rated first dance - now there is a thought you need mind bleach for
Jungle boogie
One of my friends chose the them from Minder "I Could Be So Good for You" which I thought was a great idea. His **** of FiL thought otherwise and got the DJ to play something he preferred.
Make sure it's short.
"Make sure it's short. "
ha ha good point..
Have I told you Lately That I love You by Van Morrison never fails.
Unless you haven't.
Lick my love pump by spinal tap
Have I told you Lately That I love You by Van Morrison
Good choice
You could even see if he could pop along to sing it live for you. He's been pretty quiet of late so would probably appreciate the work..
The man appears to release about a thousand albums per year. I’d opt for In To The Mystic or pretty much any other track off Moondance
Ray LaMontagne has some great slow songs.
Go left field with Chic or some Bony M!
Cheek to Cheek or some else by Ginger and Fred from the playlist
Oooo… Coz is a strong recommendation!
Let's get married or sunshine in leith by the proclaimers? (Unless you're a Jambo in which case the latter might not be such a good choice)
Now I've had the time of my liife and i've never felt this way before.
Make sure the camera is rolling forthe inevitable lift attempt 250 quid in the bank.

But good luck working a dance out.
Sensible ish suggestions:
Jack Johnson, Better Together.
The Twang, Either Way
Michael Jackson, Rock with You.
Jay-Z, 99 Problems
Friends of ours had "Ballbreaker" by AC/DC.
Which was a surprise.....
This is the one by the roses
I like big butts. By sir mixalot
Bring your Daughter to the Slaughter.
Gold Digger, Kanye West.
******* hell it's Fred Titmus, Half Man Half biscuit, (just for the language)
You're the one for me Fatty, Morrisey.
You're welcome. My invite hasn't arrived yet BTW.
Congrats BTW
Oooh, that's a strong contender. Didn't think of that!
Rico Rodrigues- Love
Played by a band from Nottingham at our wedding and they were amazing

Rico -RIP
Two mates had Call Me Al, which seemed like genius.
Smack my bitch up
Prelude to the Afternoon of a Sexually Aroused Gas Mask, by Frank Zappa, would be my suggestion.
or plenty of cannibal corpse songs with "left field" titles
Much as I like Drac's suggestion how about True Companion by Marc Cohn? Meaningful lyrics though perhaps a bit old...
First dance?
Or
Linger by the Cranberries..
This was ours.
"I've got a bike you can ride it if you like"
You know more about music than most people I know Paul, surely you can come up with something.
How about not having a first dance at all as its tediously bourgeois. You can invite friends to come up and join you and you can all dance together.
We didn't have a 'first dance' as such. After a ceilidh to get everyone moving and enough drink to help remove everyone's inhibitions, we just had a favourite track that we decided we would meet for on the dance floor, to be put in randomly. Was great to find each other for the dance, considering how much time is spent with other people on the day.
The Crimea - Lottery Winners on Acid, BTW.

Napalm Death, You Suffer?
That would be mine. Dancing can go piss up a rope...
We had Hendrix, little wing. This was immediately followed by smack my bitch up! It got everyone else on the dancefloor pretty quick.
I like big butt's.
Always a good ice breaker.
Bet not many have this
So I’d go with originality
