Please excuse my total ignorance/incompetence with computer software :oops:e

Just bought a new laptop and need to stick MS Office on to it. I've got the original disc for 'MS Office 97 Small Business' that I installed on my desktop a few years ago. Will I be able to use this on my new laptop, or is it an install once job? (the product ID is still on the discs packaging).

Can anyone advise please?

Yes, you can install it.

License is officially for one pc, but if you've dumped the old pc, you're still legal.

Be worth updating though ๐Ÿ™‚

Nice one, I was hoping so. The money saved can go towards a new camera ๐Ÿ˜€

As long as you have windows xp. office97 wont work on vista or windows7 AIUI. You could use open office for free.

I think the MSOffice licence allows you to use it on 1 desktop and a laptop โ“

Or if you're stuck (or just anyway), you can use Open Office for a free alternative.
