Went to see this again last night, been going a few years. A compilation of 4 Mountaineering/Climbing/Sailing/Ski films, shown at all the usual multiplexes on multiple dates so easy to get to.

Really, very very good. We all watch the MTB shreddits/instabangers in 2 min sessions on our phones but the proper long format, big screen, full surround experience really makes it.

Info on the 4 films here - Yes, theres an interval so you can go for a pee!

Highly reccomended, all 4 pieces were brilliant - frightening, beautiful, awe inspiring.

Always a good mix of films I wouldn't normally get to see.

Is it every 6 months?

I think they do a 'summer' edition yes, but I've never seen it. Theres definitely scope for some two wheeled adventure action to be included too, the them is basically 'adventures in the high mountains'.

see also banff film festival tour, twice a year I think (one mountains and one oceans) - shorter films and a bit formulaic after a while but great visually

I really enjoy the Banff ones, they do a Red and Blue itinerary and go everywhere on the tour with both sets of films a couple of months apart.

They seem to get a good balance between 2-minute action-fests and some longer more thought-provoking films. Some of it though is so outside of 'normal' that it almost loses its impact, I guess that will apply differently to different people and their respective sports/experiences of them though.

Some people who are unemployed sit at home or in the park, others climb, ski or sail.
