So i rooted the phone and it was great, went to remove some bloatware but it seems i removed some kinda of home page apk file, and now the phone wont give me any home pages or access to anything.

i did a factory reset but still nothing
i iether removed it from
/flex/app (motorola sys app)
or
/system/app

can anyone send me files that contain *home*.apk in them from these directories?

much appreciated as i love my little fone

or,
would it be possible to flash it with a stock or newer ROM? i dont know too much about these things....
thanks!

If you installed a bootloader already it should be possible to go in via that and flash a ROM. If not you should be able to do it using the command line-type control thing via your computer, I've forgotten what it's called. I would imagine that will fix the problem.

If you're downloading the developer's tools for your computer anyway, you might be able to find the home app in the package of android apps that's included and just reinstall that.

thanks for the help.

in the end after a lot of digging i flashed it with a ROM from Ireland,
although it was tricky because i factory reset the phone and that put it into NON DEBUG USB MODE, and because i didnt have a HOME screen i could not get to the APPS to turn it back on,

its now unrooted, so i'll re root

one of the pains of this phone is its small internal memory and am unable to download my google play music library to the sd card as the app in on the internal memory and cannot be removed, unless rooted!
