Giant badgers has it so far.

Specifically, eggs in the carpet we think.

cats like the big fat ones. very tasty, apparently, although those big feathery antennae could be quite tickly.

if you have moth eggs in your carpet I suppose a household flea treatment would probably work. See your local vet.

are you sure it's moths though? I assume you've seen the "caterpillars". Short, about half an inch long, dark & blunt at one end, no discernable legs...
