[Closed] MobilephoneTrackWorld: recommend me a non-smart phone

[#9933247]

Currently got two mobiles - work and personal. I need a smart phone for work, but do turn it off when I finish work for the day.

Personal smart phone is slowly grinding to a halt, so in an effort to 'get away from it all' a little more I'm thinking of going back to a non-smart phone with actual buttons.

Anyone already done this? And any recommendations on what's semi-decent out there (decent battery life, doesn't warm your ear up while talking on it, headphone jack etc.)?

Nokia 105 for true basics. Nokia 216 for a little less basic, if you wanted to stick some music on there for instance.

Been looking at them. Wonderfully basic. I think that could work.

Nokia 3310

😀 Yes. YES! I used to have the armoured version. Also been checking out other armoured phones – seems there's a few out there, which is good.

I've a couple of mates with JCB phones.  One is so un-smart that it can only send SMS messages in upper case (or so he says anyway, might just be being a lazy arse).  The other he delights in throwing it across pub car parks to show off its indestructibility.

I wqas looking for the same recently - sure I had seen one with whatsapp on, but that doesn't seem to be possible now I've looked again. Can anyone confirm either way?

Doing a bit more hunting it seems the Nokia 301 can run some stuff including WhatApp. I have no wish to have FB or Twitter on my phone, but WhatApp would be useful – this looks pretty good.
