I'm at the in laws. This means a lot of 'light entertainment' tv.
Who the **** watches this tripe?! Heroically unfunny.
Just wondering the exact same thing myself!
My mother in law is watching it. I had to leave the room...
I'm taking a wild guess at...people who find it funny. But yes, it's a lowbrow for stw I'd say.
shhh, they'll hear you....
there is after all some sort of an alien invasion conspiracy thing going on which we are only distracted from by a mass hysteria event called miranda. when the spell is broken and we realise she is not funny, just embarassing, we will see the rulers of the earth for the lizard men they really are!
It's what I call very funny.
I like her.
Such fun! 😉
She is fantastic.
Glad I'm not the only who doesn't like her I just don't find her funny at all
same sort of folk that also find michael mcintyre funny. 😯
Nah, the difference is he isn't sexy.
Not really my thing but I think it's supposed to be family entertainment so pretty undemanding stuff. A previous programme in this category was My Hero which was far more painful. Not sure what programmes in this slot in recent years have been OK but we don't see the likes of Rising Damp, Open All Hours and Only Fools and Horses too often.
She provides a good opportunity for some folk to show how off the wall alternative they are, and tell the rest of us how boringly "normal" we are. 😐
sexy
You watching whilst wearing your Rose Iridiums or something...
How she's managed to drag 30 minutes out of one weak joke is perhaps, genius.
Nah, the difference is he isn't sexy.
The only reason I watch him is for the sexiness.
A bit old school for my tastes but still mildly amusing if not verging on slapstick.
Ill be the first then, the answer is yes.
Been subjected to a few episodes of this in the past when round friends houses. To say she's not funny is a gross understatement! Painfully unfunny is more like it, I would honestly rather pull my teeth out with pliers than watch her!
Icing on the cake though for me, which sums her up so well, was when they did the Sport Relief JOGLE non stop as a team a couple of years ago. A load of celebs, in a bus, one of them at a time on the bike, took about 5 days. The likes of Paddy Kielty, Fearn Cotton and Davina McCall putting in strong performances and clocking up good average speeds and doing a good number of miles on the bike. Miranda Hart managed 45 minutes on a bike, at about 10mph, before crying her eyes out and collapsing in a heap! 45 minutes she managed, inside 5 whole days... If I was one of the other celebrities, I'd have screamed at her to do her bit!
She did a great documentary on Eric Morecombe, and having seen that you can see the influence - she's funny in a less complicated and anarchic way than a lot of other people, which is nice in this day and age
But I'm a simple soul.....

This. The Guardian loves it, which illustrates a lot, I think
Not funny at all.
Where does it figure on your tazzy scale of super zany alternativeness then tazzy?
Try that mrs browns boys shite for proper "not funny, not funny at all" TV...
DrP
Love it.
Not usually my thing but really enjoy the lightness of touch and joyful scripting.
Maybe too many women being funny for some men to allow themselves to enjoy it?
I don't find her funny....but then I don't find unfunny shite very funny at all. I'm funny like that. Funny eh?
The first series was good, with some great characterisation. Sadly it's now just become too repetitive and typical sitcom reliance on the same joke(s).
Although I will say that Patricia Hodge wipes the floor with the rest of the cast.

excuse me?
I have different taste to you, yes, but I hadn't realised that expressing my own personal taste which may differ to the majority was a thing to be denigrated. Oh well I'll leave you "normals" in your safe little world.
A poster girl for the legions of well-connected, mediocre toffs leeching a living out of our state-funded broadcaster. She's as funny as a fire in a paediatric unit and an abhorrently physically repellent stank-monster into the bargain. The BBC's apparent mission to transform her into some kind of National Treasure makes me want to redirect my licence fee to a hitman who specialises in bumping off ungainly comediennes who have somehow got it into their heads that they can "do" slapstick.
Comedy for Colin Hunts. 👿
Oh well I'll leave you "normals" in your safe little world.
😆
How hilarious ! This thread has descended into a personal and stroppy argument over what's funny ! 😀
She's as funny as a fire in a paediatric unit
sorry, but That is funny 😀
only watch it for Sarah Hadland
a personal and stroppy argument
I think DD can do that with anything I type Ernie...the boy he don't like me 😀
Blimey is this still running as a show, her voice alone is like nails down a blackboard to me, that said I do have a soft spot for her.....
...it is at the bottom of my garden under six foot of earth
...it is at the bottom of my garden under six foot of earth
you want to have sex with her in an air raid shelter?
I think you're being a bit over-sensitive tazzy.
Why do women in comedy evoke such hatred in men?
Seems like too many are still stuck with the mindset that "women just aren't (meant to be) funny!"
Why do women in comedy evoke such hatred in men?
Women in comedy don't..just miranda because she's rubbish
Sarah silverman, Shappi Khorsandi, lucy porter are really rather spiffing
If she was funny then I'd find it easier to find her funny. As it is the spat between DD and the nichewhore is waaay funnier 🙂
My GF has a hissy fit every time MH's on TV because she play's the fool to gain cheep laughs instead of using her brains. Doing women an injustice and all. (What do you know I do Listen to the GF, that's got to be worth some currency)
Is tazzy feeling sensitive, do you want a hug...
you want to have sex with her in an air raid shelter?
touché good sir, you know me too well
Mmm Sarah Silverman and Lucy Porter, now we are talking...
Room for three in the air raid shelter
Is tazzy feeling sensitive, do you want a hug...
nah....nothing that a long drop and short rope can't fix mate.
How about a large drop?
Currently enjoying an Asbach at present, rather pleasant it is to
