Just got one of planet x's merino wool top!
Its by far the best purchase ive made, But when it gets wet, the smell of amonia stinks the office or house out .
Has anyone else got merino wool and does the smell go after a while?

I thought one of it's key selling points is that it doesn't smell when it gets wet. Mine doesn't.
I use a Nike merino jersey for commuting. I was it once every three months 🙂 It just doesn't get pongy...
They tend to smell faintly of wet sheep, but not in an unpleasant way. So, either the On One merino has some sort of treatment that smells when wet or it's your sweat itself smelling of ammonia, which tends to be the result of too much protein and not enough carbohydrate in the diet.
I do not know if the ammonia smell applies only when wearing merino,

I must say i never get any form of BO, but it is definatly in the wool itself and is when wet with water and not sweat.
