want to physically downsize from the trafic and the merc should have a good reputation.. however havent seen one or know anybody with one.. does that speak for itself?
It's a Renault kangoo. For that reason I'm out.
No personal experiance, it's a Mercedes/Renault/Nissan joint venture.

If you fancy one it depends whether the badge or the warranty mean more to you - and whether you fancy spending the extra £££ on the Merc.
They're both built in Renault's Mauberge factory, so I guess they're both Renaults. Same engines, same gearboxes, same shell - the Merc has got a slightly different nose and dash. But they're the same van.
The Merc is more expensive but has a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty which is great if you're a courier.
The Renault is cheaper and has a 4 year, 100k miles warranty with 4 years roadside assistance.
Badge aside, the front of the Merc does look a lot better than the Renault.
