Despite my determination never to buy another Discovery, I found this one in Cumbria on Ebay. A couple of very careful owners, with full LR service history to 130k. The chassis has never been welded. So fingers crossed it'll last a few years.
I like the old school Marine Blue, I had a Series 11A Land Rover for years the same colour, mind you it had a 'County' hardtop with windows that came from the airport on Westray that was painted JCB yellow. They used the same blue on the early Range Rovers too.
Shogun in rude health.

Are you not supposed to strap the wheels (rather than the body) so the straps don't go loose when the suspension moves ?

I have lashed it front and rear too.
Looks a great purchase! That range though. Lovely!
welcome back to the LR fold you'll soon regret it!
Congrats on the new disco (I think )
Can i just back up nealglover's concerns about your load securing technique? You deffinatly need to strap the wheels rather than over the body. Once your bouncing down the road the Shogun's suspension will be activly moving about causing the staps to become loose and worse still, chaffe and fail.
I have seen it happen a few times and the last thing you want is a ton and a half of Shogun coming off the trailer!!
P.s. that Shogun looks far to good to scrap. ๐
Does the Disco have up-rated seats?
