Anyone read the letters section of this month's MBUK?

Sly little dig.

Hello George.

Have they mentioned the slow progress to get a sorted new site and forum and making fun of us as apparently this is how it is meant to be? Asking as that is the kind of childish thing the letters of mbuk used to be like...

Bought for research purposes and spotted it. It's the star letter too.

Mint is still good.

Sounds like MBUK made the story up to make the mag a nudge better.

Not read mbuk since they did a fork review and rated the pace better than the bomber.

Writing the content for the letters page used to be an art form when I worked on local papers. The trick is to make it sound like one of the locals had actually written it.

D- for that one. 🙂

To be fair, which other forum are they going to be talking about? Their own? The only way you’d be able to arrange a ride with someone else on there is if you had a pretty well developed split personality disorder.

I think it's pretty good advice tbh, every time I meet up with STW people there's at least one total prick there.

Have you considered what the common denominator is in that equation?

I've never forgiven them for tricking me into buying a Crud Claw.

I stopped buying/reading MBUK when I realised it was actually just a comic book.

Clearly bollocks, have you ever tried to lose a Croc? It reminded me of some of the troll accounts from back when trolls tried to be funny. My 5 pounds says George Wood is CFH.

CFH? Do you really think he'd make fun of someone else's choice of footwear?

Losing a Croc would involve wearing them in the first place. However, my youngest lost one of hers when she was about 3. It fell on off and then dropped into the river.

No, Esme. You're right, can't be CFH.. The writing style is similar to some of the editorial stuff on here, Chipps doing some stealth advertising?

You underestimate your youngest, Drac Croc clearly deliberately droped in the river in the river either as a poo stick or simply to get rid (or both).

That ‘letter’ is a slightly tweaked copy of a post on an mtb Facebook group from a few months back. It stuck out as being dire then, when not published by ‘professionals’ so you can sleep soundly. It’s just crap journalism not a dig.

....or maybe the person who wrote it also emailed it into a load of MTB mags?

Whatever, the reply is pretty funny - and the levels of grumpiness and out of touchness on this thread alone show they probably aren't far wrong 😂😂😂😂

Especially the ones who think they aren’t.

To be fair,  the reply is far better than the letter. Although both are fictional
