I think you will learn in the coming hours that ferrari have decided on a temporary replacement for Massa.

Marc Gene.

......is their test driver.

Michael Schumacher will be racing at Valencia 🙂

Ah, I just had a tip-off, checked autosport before starting thread, no word, just re-checked and only just hit their front page, would think it would be a bit more important than BMW news.

It is going to be very very interesting.

Oh no he won't! It was decided by the all-powerful STW massive yesterday that he's too old, and couldn't possibly train in time. Of course he won't be competitive either as he's years out of date and won't want to do it for that reason either. Obviously....

Back in the real world, he could help out Button quite a lot, if he and Lewis start fighting for podiums, pushing the Red Bulls back whilst Brawn work out what the hell they've done to their car!

Massa's keeping his eye out for a return before the end of the season though.

Doesn't sound like it's a totally done deal just yet. Hope it is though!

Is that a terrible pun?

No. It's just a deliberately bad taste gag.

Well I think its a bit below the belt to be quite honest.

I think Massa is ready to spring into action as soon as he is well enough.

He'll bounce back from it, that's for sure. More brain than Brawn...

I am Trulli disappointed that people have taken the opportunity to make puns and laugh about all this, I don;t know Webber or not people understand that even Sutil little jokes can cause offense?

BBC have it without the "it has been reported" caveats now:

In fact, at present I'm sure he couldn't give a Fisichella about it - I'm sure he'd laugh Alonso with it anyway - Raikonen sense of humour 😀
