Manchester Airport - T2 parking

I have to drop the Wife at Manchester Airport tomorrow.

Her flight is leaving from T2.

It's been years since I went near Manchester Airport.

Wife uses a wheelchair, so any ideas where's best to park for T2 that's not going to be a massive trek?

Will need to leave the car for a while so I can go in with her so we can make sure she's checked in and at the right special assistance area.

Thanks

I’ve not done that kind of drop off in a while, but, worth knowing that T2 is pretty much the only terminal open at the moment as T1 is shut for everything except Ryanair flights. MAG have also put in place charges to do a drive through for pick up and drop off too, about £5 from memory (though I was heading for long stay at the time). Signage is also out of date so make sure you know where you’re going as if you get past the point of no return your driving through the drop off and will get charged no matter what.

There are stupid expensive drop-off options (£25 IIRC for 30 minutes!). Assume you have a blue badge? This might help? Pick Up & Drop Off - Blue Badge Holders | Manchester Airport

Both T2 drop off and T2 Multi-Storey (confusingly now called P3) are literally right next to the terminal. The only consideration is that you can't just abandon the car in T2 drop off, it's literally a "drive in, throw someone out, drive off" which obviously won't work for you. I think you'll have to aim for T2 Multi Storey. I think it's Level 3 (might be Level 2...) where you can park up and walk straight through to the terminal without needing to use the lifts.

Check out the Blue Badge parking links above, hopefully that'll be more help.

T2 is nice by the way, it's brand new so accessibility throughout is really good.

All the lifts in (agreed confusingly named ) P3 car-park are huge, easily accommodate a wheelchair user

P3 car park is a little walk from the terminal. P2 I think is the one near drop off.  I'd look at booking a slot to save money if you need to stop for 30 minutes.

Pickup, then use P3, but go for the parking, not the quick pick up - that's a bit hectic, especially when your wife says 'where are you' - I'm zone C bay 9.... Can't see a Zone C.... - she'd gone to P2 instead. Mobile and wifi/data signal is crap in P3...

T2 is good for disability. I had to use it last January (broken pelvis - didn't know at this point).  The disability assistance is near the doors in the middle of the terminal check in area (it's very long). They sorted me quickly with wheel chair etc.

Thanks all - P3 seems the best option.

Unfortunately can't pre-book as they're sold out, so will just have to turn up and see.

Thanks again.

Thanks all - P3 worked like a charm!

Apart from Easy Jet being right the other end of the terminal lol
