Middle aged men on motorbikes! Grrr!
Nice sunny day so I decided to head over Rivington from Horwich when I was caught by a motorcyclist by the teashop, I decided to flag him to pass just before the cattlegrid and let him have a play. It's what Rivi was built for, isn't it?
The guy gets past me and doesn't disappear into the distance, he hammers it up the straights and slams on the brakes for the corners. 😆
The best bit being that on each corner the bike was banked (slightly) and the lower shoulder shot upwards ensuring his whole body was perpedicular to the road. 😆 😆
As long as he was having fun, eh?

Yeah, but not many people are Marq Marquez or Rossi. Slamming the brakes on stands the bike up, washes the front out or has the rear doing fun things. Safer to just roll off the throttle early and ride smoothly.

Do some humans really think about this stuff?

As you should. As Cap'n is surely almost ready to be inducted into the STW Big Hitters™ on his recent form.

Essentially what you're saying is, then, that everyday people indulging in a hobby aren't as good at it as people you see on tv who do the same activity for a living?

That's insightful.

Essentially, you extrapolate wrong.
Insightful.
His riding style was not good, he wasn't smooth.
He looked like the sort of guy who'd just forked out on a big bike, got his licence and couldn't ride it.
Possibly a danger to himself and/or others.
But as I said, as long as he's having fun, eh?

The exclamation mark in the topic title lead me to expect a little more excitement tbh.

Although, what was the Grrr bit for? Did his antics arouse you a little?

If it's any comfort to the OP I've been thrashing the tits of my bike and leaning it over on the way to work the last few days, I'm not sure if I am middle aged or old though, my Kawasaki is middle aged.

Were you riding side saddle or had you fallen off?

I thought this was about Maoams. Can't tell you how disappoint I am with the actual content.

2.5 out of 10 extra half mark for lots of explanation marks.

did not know you were a local

I hate the way the motor bikers ride out there on a sunday

My favourite was one evening ride at the top of the belmont road was a lady sat on her boyfriend's bike with her breasts out having her picture taken

I smiled at her and said lovely, she smiled back
I asked what sort of bike it was .....she scowled at me and gave me evils

True story!!!

He sounds like on of them ****less types. She needs to be careful, he will just knock her up and then desert her and his unwanted offspring. Leaving behind misery and grief for all involved.

There's a few of them about, I overtook a couple of bikes last year which was a weird experience. They were doing 40 ish in a 50 zone, just enjoying the day I guess.
